PS4 "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn" beta test begins for a limited time! The first session starts Friday, June 21.

Capcom has announced a beta test for "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn," a major expansion for "Monster Hunter: World" scheduled for release on Friday, September 6, 2019.

The first beta test will be held for PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscribers from Friday, June 21 to Monday, June 24. The second beta test will run from June 28 (Fri.) to July 1 (Mon.)1 and is open to anyone with a PlayStation 4 and a connection to the PlayStation Network. Details of the beta test are as follows.

Anyone with a PlayStation4 and a connection to PlayStationNetwork can participate.

If you saved "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn Beta Test Edition" on your PS4 system during the first beta test, you do not need to download it again for the second beta test.

There is no limit to the number of times you can play during the beta test period.

○ Single-player game
Single-player game can be enjoyed by setting off on a quest alone.
You need to be online to play single-player.

Multiplayer
Multiplayer play is available for up to 4 players with hunters from all over the world.
Multiplayer play is possible with hunters of the same language by specifying the language for matching.
You cannot join quests in the middle of a quest in this beta test version. You will be able to do so in the full version of the game (commercial version).

Three types of quests to choose from
The quest difficulty will automatically change to single, two-player, or multiplayer depending on the number of people participating in the quest.

Dos Jagras, the Glutton of the Forest
Target: Hunting a doss jaguar / Field: Ancient forest / Time limit: 20 minutes
Quest for beginners

Hunting Buffalo the Bull Dragon
Target: Hunting a buffalo / Field: Migratory frozen ground / Time limit: 20 minutes
Quest for intermediate level players

Tigalex in all directions
Target: Hunting a Tigarex / Field: Migratory frozen ground / Time limit: 20 minutes
Quests for advanced level players

Character Making
In this beta test version, players will be able to choose from 6 types of male characters, 6 types of female characters, and 6 types of otomo characters prepared in advance. More detailed character creation will be available in the full version of the game.

Chat (voice and text)

Training area
You can try out the actions of a total of 14 different weapons. You can also change to a clutch claw practice placement. You can also practice actions against real monsters by clinging to a cart with a clutch claw.

Earn a "Congratulations on Hunting the Raging Buffalo Dragon Pack" for clearing "Hunting the Raging Buffalo Dragon."
Earn a "Congratulations on Hunting Roaring Dragons Pack" for clearing "Hunting Tigalex in All Directions!

The first time you clear each of the three types of quests, you will receive a pack of items that can be used in the main game (full version), such as "secret potions" and other recovery items, meal coupons, and other items useful for hunting.

*Quest completion status will be saved on the server.
To receive the rewards in the full version of "Monster Hunter World: Iceborn," you will need to connect to the network with the same PlayStation Network account you used to complete the beta test quests.

Please note that this test will not be conducted under any circumstances .
The duration of this test may be changed or cancelled without prior notice due to various reasons.
This beta test version is for online use only. It cannot be played offline. An Internet environment is required to enjoy the game online.
The first beta test is open to PS Plus subscribers only.
The second beta test is open to non-PS Plus subscribers.
No save data will be created. Once you exit the game, your character's name, appearance, equipment and options that you have previously set will be initialized.
The capacity of this beta test version is 6.1 GB.
Trophies are not supported.
