A 30-second special Japanese dubbed version of the live-action Hollywood movie "Sonic the Movie," which is set for release in Japan on March 27, 2020 (Friday), has been released.

The "Sonic" series has been developed for various game consoles since "Sonic the Hedgehog" was released by Sega Enterprises, Inc. in 1991. The innovative gameplay that allows players to run through game stages at blinding speeds and the cool character of "Sonic," a blue hedgehog who runs at the speed of sound, have won the hearts of game fans in Japan and around the world, and continue to be loved by them.
Sonic the Movie" is a Hollywood live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese character that has sold a total of approximately 920 million copies worldwide (including downloads). The film is produced by Neal H. Moritz of the "Wild Speed" series and Tim Miller of "Deadpool," and directed by Jeff Fowler, an Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Short Film, who was selected to direct his first live-action film.

A 30-second Japanese dubbed special trailer for the Hollywood live-action film adaptation of "Sonic the Movie," which has been set for release in Japan on March 27, 2020 (Friday), has been released.

Sonic, who has left his hometown and come to a distant planet, becomes partners with Sheriff Tom (James Marsden), whom he meets by chance, and embarks on a great adventure to stop the ambitions of Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), who is after Sonic's super powers.

The recently released 30-second special Japanese dubbed version of the film shows Sonic's signature super high-speed action as he travels around the world, while also showing a cool expression on his face as he blows up a large car in pursuit and a charming side as he and Tom's beloved dog compete with each other and instantly open up to each other. Don't do it! I give up, I give up~!" and his irresistible charm is in full force.

In the U.S., Sonic is voiced by Ben Schwartz (BB-8 in the "Star Wars" series, etc.), but who will be voicing Sonic in Japan will be announced shortly.
