Tokyo Toy Show 2022 Special】「Choro-Q」is now available for adults! DeLorean in "Tomica"! New Car Toys Summary! TOMY version!

The Tokyo Toy Show 2022, a toy exhibition organized by the Japan Toy Association, was held at Tokyo Big Sight for two days on June 16 and 17, 2022.

The toy industry's market size in FY2021 reached a record high of 894.6 billion yen.
The Tokyo Toy Show was a showcase of ambitious new products from all companies, as if to remind us of the momentum of the toy industry, which is further expanding its market after the Corona Disaster. Although this year's show was limited to business meetings, which were open only to those involved in the business, it was the first Tokyo Toy Show in three years, and as such, the event was filled with great enthusiasm.

Akiba Research Institute also covered the show. Let us introduce some of the new products that caught our attention.

This time, we'll be looking at automotive toys, including Tomy's signature toys, Choro-Q and Tomica!

＜Choro-Q Q's
A display model version of the "Choro-Q" to be released by Tomytec.
Instead of being able to drive itself on a pull-back, the base of the shaft has a ball-joint mechanism that allows for comical poses and tire movement.

The image is said to be that of the world of "Choro-Q," a PlayStation game released in 1996.
The product is scheduled to go on sale in September 2022. The price is 2,200 yen each (tax included).

The old-fashioned Choro-Q has evolved with the times!
The number of pull-backs changes the driving pattern to "straight ahead," "random turn," or "backspin," and up to five of the three driving patterns can be registered for programming.
The optional controller can be used to freely control the vehicle as if it were a radio-controlled vehicle.
The initial bonus is a Choro-Q coin!

The "Tomica" series of miniature car toys representing Japan is celebrating its 52nd anniversary and gaining more and more momentum.
A diverse lineup was on display, ranging from actual cars to collaboration models, and even those that appeared in movies.
