SQUANI's "Live Alive" on Switch Today! New video, comments from Gosho Aoyama and others, and everyone's "Best Soul Apology"!

Square Enix released today, July 22, 2022, the RPG "Live Alive" for Nintendo Switch.

This title is a remake of "Live Alive" released in 1994 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) with "HD-2D" visual expression that combines dots and 3DCG. The seven stories, each with a different era, protagonist, and gameplay, are up to the player to decide which to play first and how to proceed.

The characters in each world are designed by manga artists Gosho Aoyama, Osamu Ishiwata, Yoshinori Kobayashi, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Yumi Tamura, Yoshihide Fujiwara, and Ryoji Minagawa, with new illustrations by Naoki Ikushima of "Octopath Traveler" fame. The music was fully supervised by Yoko Shimomura, who also wrote the original music, and has been gorgeously and fully arranged.


The director of the original "Octopath Traveler", Mr. Takashi Tokita, is the producer of this new version and is in charge of the production. The game has been made easier to play in the modern age, while keeping the same exciting storyline, making it an enjoyable game for both those who have played the original and those who are new to the game.

In this title, players can play seven stories of different eras, protagonists, and gameplay, in any order they wish. Each of them has different characteristics, and while some are just for the fun of battles, others focus on the story and solving puzzles.
Once the seven stories are completed, the eighth story, "The Middle Ages," is released. What awaits beyond their stories: ......?
