In commemoration of December 12, the "Day of the Twelve Kingdoms," four full-page advertisements appeared in the Asahi Shimbun newspaper. In addition, bookstores distributed an extra issue of "The Twelve Kingdoms Newspaper" and started downloading an illustration of "Rakushun" drawn by Akihiro Yamada in honor of the Chinese zodiac sign for the coming year 2020 (the year of the child).

Since the announcement of the publication of the new work last December, all information from the official website has been trending high, and on December 4, "The Twelve Kingdoms" won the Novel Category Award at the "Yahoo! In October and November, the four-volume "Shirogane no Oka Kuronotsuki" (Shincho Bunko), the first new full-length novel in 18 years, sold more than 2.5 million copies in just over a month, bringing the total number of copies sold in the series to more than 12 million.

Amid such excitement, today, December 12, was named "The Day of the Twelve Kingdoms," in response to the voices of many of the series' loyal readers.
As many of you may have already seen, the morning edition of the Asahi Shimbun newspaper carried a full-page color advertisement featuring an illustration by Akihiro Yamada, a well-known illustrator for Shinchosha, which took up the entire page.

Moreover, the Tokyo Honsha edition featured "Taiki", the Osaka Honsha edition "Keio and Yoko", the Seibu Honsha edition "En-Ou, Shoryu and En-Ki, Rokuta", and the Nagoya Honsha and Hokkaido Branch editions "Koo-Ou and Zhusho" ....... The ad was presented in four different designs for each region.

In addition, the "Twelve Kingdoms Newspaper" extra issue is being distributed at bookstores nationwide, introducing the Yahoo! Search Award winner, the Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Station Promenade advertisement, the special display at the Shinjuku branch of Kinokuniya Bookstore, and the entrance advertisement at the Jinbocho branch of Sanseido Bookstore (will be closed as soon as they are gone).
