User experience of PlayStation VR2" on PlayStation.blog! is now open to the public. New features such as "see-through view" were revealed.

See-Through View
PS VR2 uses the new "see-through view" feature, which allows users to view their surroundings even when wearing the headset. For example, there is no need to remove the headset when you want to find the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller after wearing the headset.

A camera is embedded in the front of the headset. By pressing in the function button or selecting the menu in the PlayStation 5's new Control Center, a dedicated card that allows access to various PS VR2 settings, the user can switch between the surrounding image and the PS VR2 play screen. The card in the control center can also be used to adjust the play area and other settings.

■VR Mode and Cinematic Mode
VR mode allows users to enjoy VR game content in a 360-degree view. Content is displayed in 4000x2040 HDR video format (2000x2040 resolution per eye) at 90/120 Hz frame rate.

In cinematic mode, users can view the PS5 system settings, UI, and regular game and media content that is not VR-enabled on a giant screen in virtual space.

This next-generation virtual reality headset brings a leap forward in gaming experience. More information, including release dates and compatible games, will be released in the future. Other features introduced include "the ability to stream your own playing" and "play area customization," so check out the PlayStation.Blog for more details.
