An anime adaptation of the popular comic "Monster No. 8" has been announced.

Kaiju 8" is serialized by Naoya Matsumoto in Shueisha's "Shonen Jump +". The story takes place in a world where monsters terrorize people on a daily basis. The main character, Hibino Kafuka, who wanted to join the "Japan Defense Force" to defeat the monsters, gave up his dream once, but an event triggered his desire to become a member of the defense force again.
