Berserk Golden Age Arc MEMORIAL EDITION" will be broadcast as a TV series on TOKYO MX and other stations from October 2022.

Berserk" has been serialized for more than 30 years and has sold more than 50 million copies in total. It is a milestone in the dark fantasy genre that has garnered tremendous support in Japan and abroad as both a manga and a movie. The recently announced resumption of the serialization of the manga in Young Animal magazine has been met with a great response from all quarters, with the manga ranking No. 1 in the trend rankings. The TV series will be broadcast as a re-edited Memorial Edition version.

The anime will be broadcast as a TV series from October 2022! New visual revealed! Additional scene "Bonfire of Dreams" will be added!

It has been decided that "Berserk Golden Age Arc: MEMORIAL EDITION" will be broadcast as a TV series from October 2022 on TOKYO MX and other stations.


In this broadcast, the original "Bonfire of Dreams," one of the most popular scenes in the original work, which was not included in the 2012 theatrical release, will be newly cut under the supervision of Naoyuki Onda, the chief animation director, just as in the theatrical version.


The main visual unveiled today was also newly drawn by Naoyuki Onda. In addition, hundreds of existing cuts have been reworked and upgraded as remastered versions.


Director Yuta Sano also commented, "While taking care to maintain the charm of the theatrical version, we aimed to express the rich portrayal of the characters in the original work even more deeply by adding additional scenes and modifications. I hope to convey the charm of Berserk to as many people as possible through this film. He commented with enthusiasm. We hope that you will check out the new additional cut that will be newly depicted 10 years after the release of the film.

The ED artist is Mika Nakajima. New music by Susumu Hirasawa and Shiro Sagisu will also be provided!


The ending theme song will be "Wish" by Mika Nakashima.

Ms. Nakashima said, "I came up with some lyrics that I wanted to include in the song, and I was able to weave the story of the song while having fun with it. I hope you enjoy it along with the anime. I hope you enjoy it along with the anime," commented Nakajima.

In addition, Susumu Hirasawa and Shiro Sagisu will provide new music for the TV series. Mr. Hirasawa said, "Ten years have passed since then. The memory of the unique experience of creating the theme song has not diminished with the passage of time, but lives on as if in the eternal present. Mr. Sagisu said, "As a composer, it is essential for me to make additions to the visual expression to be newly revived after 10 years. The tragedy of losing the creator has happened ......, so creation must move forward." He touched on his thoughts on the film, which will be released for the first time in 10 years under a new guise.


Berserk" continues to develop with the broadcast of the anime "Berserk Golden Age Arc: MEMORIAL EDITION" in 2022, the resumption of the original work in Young Animal magazine, and the "Great Berserk Exhibition: 32 Years of Kentaro Miura's Art Work - Nagoya Edition" to be held from August. In addition to new music provided by Susumu Hirasawa and Shiro Washu for the TV series, a new song "Wish" sung by Mr. Nakajima will add color to the ending of the TV series.
