Voice actor Kiyoshi Kobayashi passed away due to pneumonia - he played Daisuke Dimeji in "Lupin the Third" and Bem in "Humanoid Monster Bem.

According to the announcement on the official website of his agency "Tokyo Actors' Co-op (Haikyo)," he passed away due to pneumonia on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
He was 89 years old.


According to the deceased's wishes, the funeral service was held with only close relatives. A farewell party is scheduled at a later date.


After working as a stage actor, Seishi Kobayashi became active as a voice actor. In addition to his roles as Bem in "Humanoid Monster Bem" and Aiguille Delaz in "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 STARDUST MEMORY," he also played the first Daisuke Dimeji in "Lupin the Third" from 1971.

In "Lupin the Third" Part 6 (to be broadcast in October 2021), the role of Daisuke Dimeji will be handed over to Akio Otsuka. He expressed his feelings about playing the role of Daimon until now and said, "Lupin, it's time for me to go. I'm about to get out of here. Good-bye." He ended his speech in the same tone as Dogen.
