This July marks the 25th anniversary of the serialization of "ONE PIECE," which began in 1997 and has finally entered its final chapter. ONE PIECE FILM RED" is the fourth installment of the FILM series centering on Shanks' daughter, Uta. The original author, Eiichiro Oda, serves as the general producer, and the theme song "New Era" has been viewed more than 14.29 million times in one month on YouTube, and the momentum is accelerating.

ONE PIECE FILM RED" finally opened to the public on August 6, and with the number of moviegoers on August 6 (Sat.) and 7 (Sun.) reaching 1.57 million and the box-office revenue exceeding 2.25 billion yen, the movie made a rocket start to become the No. 1 movie in the opening weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of 2022.

In addition to surpassing "ONE PIECE FILM Z" (released in December 2012, grossing 6.87 billion yen), the highest-grossing "ONE PIECE" film in the series' history, it also became the No. 1 opening weekend Saturday and Sunday film in the history of Toei, the film's distributor, in terms of attendance and box office revenue. Expectations are high that it will become the highest-grossing film in the series at over 10 billion yen.
