Monster Hunter Rise: Sun Break" features a new system, "Puppet Discovery Quest," and rare species monsters! Event quests are distributed weekly!

The first free update (Ver. 11) was released today for "Monster Hunter Rise: Sun Break".

Released on June 30, 2022, "Monster Hunter Rise: Sun Break" is a very large expansion content for the Switch/Steam software "Monster Hunter Rise. Centered on the observation base "Elgad," which investigates monster anomalies, the game features new monsters called the "Three Dukes of the King's Domain," the kingdom's greatest threat, as well as subspecies monsters and a series of revived monsters from the series.

In addition to the previously announced additional monsters and the "Secret World of the Tower" field, "Rio Reus Rare Species" and "Rio Reia Rare Species" have also been added. In addition, a new system called "Puppet Quest" and new enhancements to weapons will be added to the game.

Monsters added in Ver. 11, such as the "Silver Fire Dragon Rioleus Rare Species" and the "Moon Dragon Narugakuruga Rare Species," will be opened for quests once you reach MR (Master Rank) 10 or higher. More challenging monster hunting awaits you.

Of course, armor that can be produced from the materials of the added monsters has new equipment skills, so enjoy a variety of equipment combinations.

Quests to investigate puppet xenomorph monsters have been greatly expanded!

Puppetized monsters are individuals that have gone berserk under the influence of "Curia," Mel Xena's followers. Some of their attacks will inflict "Kalbotsu (bloodbath)" and they cannot be captured, so keep that in mind.

Be careful of the "puppet-weaponized" state, in which the puppet-weaponized monster receives energy from the Curia and becomes even more powerful. If the monster fails to be calmed by damage within a certain period of time, it will unleash a ranged attack called a "puppet yi burst" and return to its normal puppet yi state.

During the Puppet Wesenification, a collection of energy called the "Puppet Nucleus" appears in several parts of the Puppet Wesenized monster. The puppet heterogeneous nucleus can be destroyed by attacking, and if it is destroyed, more damage will be inflicted. It is possible to defeat the monster without destroying it, so it is important to keep this in mind.

Once the main storyline is cleared and MR (Master Rank) 10 or higher is reached, a quest to defeat "puppet monsters" becomes playable.
In the "Puppet Quests," special materials called "Puppet Material" can be obtained by stripping, destroying parts of the monster, or as quest rewards. By using these materials, hunters can strengthen their weapons up to the maximum (RARE 10).

The requirement for receiving orders and participating in the quest is MR 10 or higher, but as MR is raised, the number of monsters that can take on the Puppet Incarnation Quest will gradually open up.

The Puppet Quest will be expanded to EX★5, which will allow players to take on new "puppet-alienated monsters" such as Lunargalons, Rizexes, and Oromidoro subspecies.
The EX5 monster is a very high difficulty quest that is opened by advancing through the "Kugutsu Yi Bouken Quest," so challenge it to test your skills.

The "Puppet Discovery Quest" is a quest full of random elements to defeat puppet monsters!

The new quest system, "Puppet Quests," are available on the rewards screen when you complete a Puppet Quest or a Puppet Quest. Quests appear with a random combination of playing conditions, such as target monster, field, and number of participants.

The "Puppet Quests" are level-based, with lower levels being less challenging, but the higher the level, the more powerful the monsters become and the more rewards you receive. Special materials are also available to strengthen weapons and armor.

Event quests will be available from August 18 (Thu.).

Event quests with various completion rewards are scheduled to be distributed every week after the Ver. 11 update.
In addition, a high-difficulty event quest bearing the name "Wicked Twins Attack" will also be available in the future. Be sure to look out for the simultaneous hunting of the Lioleus rare species and the Rio Reia rare species, among others.

Each event quest can be received from the postman at the base, and can be ordered from the "Event Quest" at the meeting place counter or observation base counter.
