3goo has begun a closed beta test for PS5's Steel Rising, which will be released on September 8. A new video was also released.

The game is an action RPG set in Paris during the French Revolution, where Aigis, a mechanical doll, fights against the tyrant Louis XVI and his machine soldiers. The highlight of the game is the battle using a variety of weapons and gimmicks.

The closed beta stages this time are "Saint-Cloud" and "Anvalid Abolition Camp". These two stages can be replayed as many times as you like, and you can use various equipment and weapon configurations to find the play style that suits you best.

In developing the game, the development studio Spiders has recreated the streets of 18th century Paris based on a vast amount of historical data.

In addition to "Saint-Cloud" and "Invalides," which can be visited in the closed beta, "Louvre Palace" and "Notre Dame Cathedral," which are symbolic buildings of Paris, and "Grand Chatelet," "Champs Elysees" and "Bastille Prison," which cannot be seen today, are also recreated in detail.
