Based on the sword training simulation game "Touken Ranbu: ONLINE," in which famous swords transform into warriors and fight to protect history, the anime series "Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru" has been airing since 2016, The anime series "Toukendanbu-Hanamaru," which aired in 2016, gained popularity for its depiction of the daily lives of the sword fighters in a "certain Honmaru," where they spend their days in a serious and carefree manner.

In 2022, "Special "Toukendanbu Hanamaru" -Setsugetsuka-", the latest installment of the "Toukendanbu Hanamaru" anime series, will be screened in theaters in three consecutive parts. Following Act I "Yukinomaki" and Act II "Tsuki no maki," Act III "Hana no maki" will open in theaters nationwide on September 1 (Thursday).

The seven scenes that have been unveiled show the swordsmiths on an expedition to the Edo, Sengoku, and Heian eras. The swordsmiths are unable to return home from their expedition due to the fall of the goddess of sword. ...... They each wait for help from Honmaru in the era they are stranded in.

Masahide Suishinshi and Kiyomaro Minamoto try to return to Honmaru after completing their mission in the Edo period, but their portable time-space transfer device does not work and they look troubled. Also, Uguisumaru, Kogitsunemaru, and Mitsumidada Shodai-kiri, who are left behind in the Sengoku period, and Buzenoe and Kuwana-go, who are in the Heian period, also look puzzled.

On the other hand, they also show off their new appearances, having changed from their combat uniforms to the attire of their respective periods! Chatan Nakiri, Chiyoganemaru, Koryu Kagemitsu, and Shishio, strolling through the streets of Edo dressed as townspeople; Mikazuki Munechika and Ookanehira on an expedition to the Sengoku period; Hyuga Masamune dressed in Heian period clothing; and others. The "Hana-no-Maki" is filled with images of swordsmen that can only be seen in the "Hana-no-Maki".

One day, the priest suddenly collapsed.
Despite the worried swordsmiths, he never seems to wake up.
Meanwhile, the time-space transfer device stopped working after the priest collapsed, and the three units that had been on an expedition were unable to return home. Without being able to contact their home circle and without knowing when they will return, the 18 swordsmiths are forced to live in the Heian Period, Sengoku Period, and Edo Period, respectively.

At the same time, the 18 swordsmiths discover that the reason for the Shinjin's collapse was apparently the tamahagane brought back by the troops that had gone to another era. However, it remains unclear how the priest can regain consciousness. ...... While the samurai are puzzled, Kashu Kiyomitsu, one of the first swordsmiths in the clan, asks the Kudagitsune, Kon-no-Suke, if he can awaken the god, he must open the god's mind in the world of "dreams.
