An anime adaptation of the web manga "Mamekichi Mameko Neito no Nichijo", which has more than 10 million monthly readers, has been announced, and its PV, key visuals, and cast have been revealed.

Mamekichi Mameko Neito no Nichijo" is an essay manga that boasts a monthly blog viewership of 70 million PV. It depicts the daily lives of the main character Mamekichi, his overly individualistic family and friends, his dog Komachi, and his cats Tavi, Simba, and Melo.

The original author is Mamekiti Mameko, who has been called a supernova in the NEET world. Since 2014, when he was a NEET, he posted a daily web comic mainly on his blog that became a topic of conversation, and many people became addicted to the surreal and highly sympathetic nature of his work. In addition to his blog, he has over 980,000 followers on Instagram and 450,000 followers on Twitter.

It has been decided that "Mamekichi Mameko Neito no Nichijo" will be adapted into an anime and broadcast on Mondays and Wednesdays from October 3, 2022 on Fuji Television Network's "Pop UP! In the key visual released today, Mameko and her cats are lying down in the same outfit.

Tezuka Productions will be in charge of animation production. The animation will be directed by Satoshi Kuwabara, director of "The Bride of the Fifth Estate" and "Yu-Gi-Oh ZEXAL.

The cast includes Akari Kito as Mamekichi Mameko ("Demon Slayer" Priestess Nezuko, etc.), Leaf Daichi as Anekichi, the older sister who once reigned at the top of the family hierarchy but has regained her human heart after getting married (Fruits Basket" Kusama Toji, etc.), and Kujira as Mazakichi, the high-spirited mother who cannot throw anything away. Kujira-san ("Osomatsu-san" Matsuno Matsudai, etc.) will play the role of Mazakichi, the high-spirited mother who can't throw anything away.
