Report on "Ryu ga Gotoku: Restoration! Polar" test play report! Popular characters from previous "Ryu ga Gotoku" games appear as Shinsengumi members! Tokyo Game Show 2022 Special Report

Tokyo Game Show 2022, the world's largest game trade show, is being held from September 15 to 18, 2022.

The Tokyo Game Show 2022 is being held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from September 15 to 18, 2022. This is the first time in three years that the show has been held there since the venue went online due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Various game makers, large and small, exhibited their products, and the show was bustling from the first day.

In this report, we will provide a play report of "Yakuza Ishin! Pole," which we were able to try out at the SEGA booth.

Yakuza Restoration! Kyoku " is a remake of "Yakuza Restoration! released in 2014. In the turbulent final days of the Tokugawa shogunate, Sakamoto Ryoma, burning to reform his clan, goes into hiding in Kyoto as Saito Hajime, a member of the Shinsengumi, a group of swordsmen favored by the Tokugawa shogunate. He pursues the murderer of his mentor Toyo Yoshida.

In the original game, popular characters from the "Yakuza" series appear as characters from the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate. The game not only follows historical facts, but also features original settings, such as the fact that Ryoma Sakamoto and Hajime Saito are the same person.

This remake version is based on the original version and features new actors Hitoshi Ozawa, Riki Takeuchi, and Hideo Nakano.
The main characters in " 8" are the two protagonists! An outside story about Kazuma Kiryu's "later life" was also announced! Report on "RGG SUMMIT 2022 Yakuza Studio New Work Presentation

The game was available in two versions: a "daytime" version in which you can look around the streets of Kyoto, and a "nighttime" version in which you can mainly enjoy battles with the enemies.

Although the night version of the data was mainly fighting, it was not a series of battles, and the players were free to do whatever they wanted until they arrived at their destination. We were able to look around the town at one time.

Basically, the town is a representation of the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, but if you look closely, you can see modern stores such as an udon shop with what looks like an electronic billboard and Don Quixote, the well-known penguin mascot ("Don Quixote" in the game), which are also typical elements of the "Yakuza" series. The game is also littered with elements that are typical of the "Yakuza" series.

The Don Quijote of this title. The exterior of the store is in keeping with the town's landscape.

While wandering around the town, you will be sold into fights by thieves and warriors, and the battles will begin.

The battles in this work are action-based, and players can switch between four styles in real time: the "Itto no kata" style, in which they wield swords; the "Short gun kata" style, in which they use guns; the "Ranbu no kata" style, which combines swords and guns; and the "Fighting kata" style, in which they fight with their fists. Another highlight is the "Taiji Skill," which draws on the power of the troopers to attack and provide support. Some of the skills include techniques that unleash what looks like an extremely thick laser cannon, allowing players to enjoy the flashy battles that are unique to the series.

In the night version, there was a mission to visit the manslayer Yizo Okada, but while enjoying battles with small foes, my playing time ran out, and the demo version ended. Although I was sad to leave the game behind, I was able to fully enjoy the cityscape of Kyoto and the crazy battles typical of "Yakuza.

I can't wait to play the full game.
