Comments from the original author, Nobuhiro Watsuki, and the cast have arrived!
Nobuhiro Watsuki, author of the original story
Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Swordsman Romantic Tan-" has unexpectedly been re-animated.
This is a new work after a quarter of a century, and it will be produced with a reliable new staff and a new cast of talented people who were selected through a rigorous selection process with no discovery whatsoever.
I participated in the first postrecording the other day, and it was an unqualified "akamaru-hanamaru" (red circle).
I was so impressed that I thought, "Wouldn't it be even better if we had a new author as well?" The production was so good that I thought, "If only we could get a new author to write the original story, it would be even better.
Rurouni Kenshin has been depicted in various forms, including manga, anime, OVA, video games, novels, and live-action movies, and I believe that all of them are undeniably authentic and exist in a multiverse.
I believe that this new anime will be a new addition to the original works and will be enjoyed by those who have loved Rurouni Kenshin for a long time as well as those who are interested in it at this very moment.
Comment from Souma Saito as Kenshin Himura
Q1: How did you feel when you were chosen to play the role?
It is truly a dream come true to be cast as the voice of Kenshin himself in "Rurouni Kenshin," which I have been familiar with since I was a child.
At the same time, I feel the weight of responsibility to be involved in a work that has been loved by so many people for so long.
I will put sincerity into every word I say and give it my all.
Q2: What is your enthusiasm for playing the character?
The recording of the first episode took place the other day, and we tried out various directions, which renewed my resolve to continue from this point on.
I hope to work with everyone on the team to create the image of Kenshin. Thank you very much for your cooperation!
Comment from Riyo Takahashi as Kaoru Kamiya
Q1: How did you feel when you were chosen to play the role?
I was just surprised. I thought a lot about it and gave it my all in the audition, but I was so surprised that I don't even know what it means to say that I was accepted.
The other day we recorded a music video, and I am starting to get a sense of what it was like, but if someone told me it was a surprise, I would have believed them.
Q2: What is your enthusiasm for playing the character?
This work has been loved by many people and delivered in many ways.
Coincidentally, I am the same age as the serialization year, and I also came across this work during its long media development.
I hope you will enjoy it, from those who say it was a catalyst for change in their own lives to those who have yet to encounter it.
I will take my time and care for Kaoru.
Please give me your warm support.
