In this popular series, voice actor Yasuyuki, who loves robots more than any other voice actor in the industry, plays around with the latest toy toys and hobbies that interest him!

In this installment, we take a look at the second part of the RIOBOT Transformable Combination R-3 Powered from Sentoneri, which we introduced in the last issue.

In this second part, the SRX team finally gathers together. We would like to complete the combined form "SRX" that we have been dreaming of!

So, first, we disassembled the main body of R-3.

Attach the R-3 parts to the SRX hip frame parts to form the waist to thigh area of the SRX.

The R-3's thighs are slightly smaller than the SRX's thighs as they are, so a cover for the SRX joint is attached.

Remove the metal parts connecting the plus parts on the left and right sides, and divide the plus parts into left and right sides.

Some surplus parts can be stored inside the plus parts. Of course, this will not affect the merging process.

Transform the wing-like parts that were spread out to the left and right into shin parts.

This is the plus parts main block. Transform them into leg calves.

Combine the front and back of the legs: ......

From the knee to the instep part of the leg is completed.

Then combine the ankle parts.

This completes the R-3 Plus parts, ready to be combined.

Reinforce the SRX chest area with the metal parts removed from the R-3 Plus parts earlier.

Now that the parts that were already ready to be combined in the R-2 Powered article and the parts prepared for this project have been assembled, all that remains is to join all the parts together!

The upper body and the waist are combined, and the body is completed first!

Legs are combined!

The figure is quite large at this stage!

Attach the arms and ......

Attach the head of SRX to the head of R-1, and the combination is complete!

So, this is the SRX combined with the RIOBOT Transformable Combined Series "R-1", "R-2 Powered" and "R-3 Powered" from Sentoneri!　What size, what volume!　It's a good thing we waited so long for the release of this product!

The back of the figure is also quite informative!　The placement of each part is almost exactly as set. Even though there is such a complicated combining mechanism ...... recombination part, you did a great job to reproduce it so well!　Thank you very much!

A close-up of the upper body. The head with huge goggles and thick chest plate are distinctive. Both arms are composed of parts from the R-2 powered Hysol launcher.

The upper body of the R-3 can be seen as it is in the lower back, which beautifully forms the waist of the SRX.

Thanks to the thick and large legs, the R-3 can stand on its own rather stably without the use of a prop.

On the back, the legs and arms of R-1 are folded down.

On the waist, the R-3's backpack has been transformed into waist armor.

The ankles are actually completely the same shape on both sides.

From the side, you can see that such a large amount of parts are neatly combined.

When the goggles are illuminated with a black light, the SRX's dual cameras glow, and together with the shape of the goggles, it looks like a nostalgic Bumprest mark.

The wrists also react when illuminated with a black light, as you can see.

The head is movable in accordance with the R-1 head, and can flex and rotate back and forth.

The shoulders can rotate 360° on a rotary axis at the connection. Horizontally, the shoulder can be lifted up to just under 90° while the shoulder connection is raised up.

Roll rotation with the second arm. Elbow joints are modestly movable.

Wrist can rotate and snap, and all finger joints are independently movable.

There is some roll movement around the upper thighs.

The leg openings are quite excellent, but the ankle grounding is not quite up to par. We will introduce a backstage technique for this ankle grounding issue later.

The leg spread can be moved this far forward, but not backward.

Knee movement is also modest. This is to be expected, as the body is made up of parts that support the tremendous weight of the figure through complex deformations and combinations.

The ankles are also important parts supporting the total weight of the figure, and as you can see, their movement is limited. The ankle flexion is relatively excellent.

We have been playing without a support, but it is better to display it in a stable way, right?

When you lift up the left and right knee armor parts of R-1, you will see a square joint hole.

Attach the parts that came with the "R-2 Powered" to these holes, and attach them to the prop that extends from the base of the "R-3 Powered" to complete the figure.

This will allow the Z-O-Sword to stand on its own without tilting forward.

The Z-O-Sword can also be displayed using the pedestal. It is like a magnificent work of art.

Furthermore, this SRX has an original element: the R-1's boosted rifle, the R-2 powered Magna Beam Rifle, and the R-3 powered strike shield and telekinetic convergence laser cannon can be attached to the SRX.

The installation method can be somewhat rearranged, so please try out your favorite way of equipping it.

Here is the SRX with everything installed. The added weapons seem to fit in well, as the mecha had a lot of information to begin with.

The strike shield fits especially well.

One last thing. I mentioned earlier about a "backstage trick" for the movable ankle, but here is a backstage trick at your own risk: .......

This is the case of the right ankle, but if you combine the ankles with the connection part facing the way shown in the photo on the left, you can see that the ankle is not as flat as it should be.

As you can see, the ground contact of the ankle is expanded in the lateral direction, allowing for powerful poses that take advantage of the movable hip joints!　However, since this is a trick for a part that carries all the weight of SRX, we do not know what kind of burden it may cause. Please try it at your own risk.

So, I have introduced more than 100 pictures on ......, and I have to close this article now.

Speaking of SRX, this is not the end of the story. Sentairi will be shipping the "RIOBOT Transformable Combination R-GUN Powered" in October 2022 (scheduled).
