Autumn Anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" to be Broadcast in 2 Cool Days! Gundam Conference AUTUMN 2022" announces enhanced visual development, including the first terrestrial broadcast of "Senko no Hathaway" [Gundam Conference AUTUMN 2022

At the "Gundam Conference AUTUMN 2022" on September 29, 2022, the enhancement of the Gundam series video development was announced.

At this conference, it was announced that the project "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-" will be launched to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series and the 45th anniversary of Gunpla, and will consist of three main initiatives: video development, the Gundam Metaverse project, and real events.

The visual development will begin with the TV animation "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury," which will be broadcast on MBS/TBS "Day 5" from October 2 (Sun.), followed by strategic development through terrestrial broadcasting, satellite broadcasting, and YouTube.

From January to March 2023, in order to introduce people who first came into contact with Gundam through "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury" to the universe century, the origin of the Gundam series, the theatrical work "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway", the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt", and the theater work "Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative)" were broadcast.

Each will be a four-episode TV edition, with "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" being broadcast for the first time on terrestrial wave.

After the various Gundam works are enjoyed, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" will begin its second season in April 2023.

■Continuous broadcast of past works
In order for viewers to experience the broad appeal of the Gundam series, past works of the Gundam series will also be broadcast continuously. The program also plans to rerun "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" for those who missed it, and to broadcast all episodes of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" to further enjoy "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED the Movie" (tentative title).

In addition, in order to further expand the Gundam Channel, which has more than 1.25 million registered viewers, the channel will not limit itself to conventional video distribution, but will also establish a system to link with videos created and released by Gundam fans (fan-made content). Video materials will be prepared, and guidelines will be created for their use.

Measures will be prepared to please those who submit videos, and a mechanism will be created to enhance the world of Gundam together with fans.

These and other measures will strengthen developments unique to TV and the Gundam Channel, and will lead to the Hollywood version of the live-action Gundam series.
