The popular Valkyrie YF-19 from "Macroplus" is now available as a plastic model under the HG brand! The three-stage interchangeable transformer combines transformation, form, and mobility! Model Hobby Show 2022 Special Edition

The 60th All Japan Model Hobby Show was held from September 30 (Fri.) to October 2 (Sun.), 2022, at Ariake Big Sight, South Halls 1 and 2 in Tokyo.

This was the first time in three years that the show was held, after being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the Corona disaster. Various hobby manufacturers exhibited a large number of new products, and the show was a great success over the three days.
Akiba Research Institute will introduce some of the items on display, focusing on new products and first-time exhibitors.

At the Namco Bandai booth, it was announced that the "Macross" series would be entering the "HG (High Grade)" standard brand of character plastic models. As the first product, the popular Valkyrie YF-19 from "Macross Plus" will be released.

This product adopts a new transformation mechanism that incorporates part replacement.
The mechanism is called "Shortcut Change," which combines "mobility," "form," and "transformation.

A t the exhibition, a display that reproduced memorable scenes from the movie showed off the wide movable range and highly flexible deformation gimmick.
