Winter Anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a" Character PV & Cast Revealed! The Commander will be played by Chiaki Kano! Popular game from SQUAENI to be adapted into an anime!

New visuals and character PVs for the 2023 winter anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a" have been released.

Based on the action RPG "NieR:Automata," which was released by Square Enix in 2017 and has sold more than 6.5 million units worldwide. In a far future where mankind has been defeated by the overwhelming power of machine life on the moon - "2B", a member of the android unit "Yoruha", throws himself into a fierce battle to retake the earth.

The anime "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a" will start airing in January 2023. A new visual depicting the commander and operators in command of the Yoruha unit, as well as the character PV "Bunker" have been released.

Comments from the cast members, Chiaki Kano (Commander), Keiko Isobe (Operator 6O), and Mary Hatsumi (Operator 21O), have also arrived.

I am so happy to be able to be involved in the work once again as Operator 6O.
When I read the script for the anime for the first time, I was moved once again that "NieR: Automata" would be adapted into an anime! I was moved once again.
The Yoruha unit is forbidden to have feelings, but Operator 6O is a character who does not follow that rule at all, so I will not hide my excitement about the "NieR:Automata" anime adaptation!
I am very much looking forward to seeing the beautiful 2B, which can only be animated!

<Introduction
The year is 5012 AD.
The human race is in danger of extinction due to the sudden arrival of "aliens" and the "mechanical life forms" they have created.
The few humans who escaped to the moon launched a counter-offensive using "android" soldiers in order to retake the earth.
However, the battle is stalemated by the endless proliferation of "mechanical life forms.
As a final weapon, the human race dispatches a squad of new androids, the "Yoruha," to Earth.
The newly dispatched <2B> joins up with the advance investigator <9S> and goes on a mission, but in the process, they encounter a number of unexplainable phenomena.

This is the story of a lifeless android who continues to fight for humanity.
