Collaboration between "WAON" e-money and "SWORD ART ONLINE"! Collaboration cards are available for a limited time on Apple Pay's WAON!

Starting on November 2, 2022 (Wednesday), a collaboration card with "Sword Art Online," which marks the 10th anniversary of the start of the anime broadcast, will be issued for a limited time through Apple Pay's WAON, an Aeon e-money service that will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year.

The "SWORD ART ONLINE" series of novels by Reki Kawahara won the 15th Dengeki Novel Award (Grand Prize). The series depicts the adventures of the main character Kirito and his friends in the next-generation VRMMORPG "Sword Art Online," and the TV anime began airing in 2012, followed by the release of "Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale" in 2017. Finally, on Saturday, October 22, 2022, the long-awaited "Sword Art Online the Movie: Progressive" was released.

It has been decided that a total of three types of cards will be released in collaboration with "WAON" and "SWORD ART ONLINE", which marks the 10th anniversary of the start of the anime broadcast.
The illustrations used on the cards were all drawn exclusively for the WAON card, and the collaboration cards can be issued with no fees by downloading the "WAON app" *1 on your iPhone.

The main concept card, "LINK START WAON," can be issued through the "WAON app" from Wednesday, November 2 to Friday, January 6, 2023.

The "Yuki & Asuna Yokohama Christmas WAON" card, which will be a limited-time-only card for December, can be issued through the WAON application from Tuesday, November 29 through Friday, January 6, 2023.

This special limited collaboration card with the local WAON "Yokohama Mirai WAON" depicts Yuki and Asuna's school life with the backdrop of Yokohama at Christmas time. As with the currently issued local WAON "Yokohama Mirai WAON," a portion of the amount paid will be donated to the "Yokohama City Environmental Conservation Fund" to be used for community-based environmental conservation activities in Yokohama City.

Sword Art Online Collaboration Commemorative Twitter Present Campaign

From November 6 (Sun.) to November 20 (Sun.), a present campaign will be held on the Twitter account of WAON e-money to commemorate the collaboration between WAON and Sword Art Online.

One hundred winners will be selected by drawing to receive the newly-drawn "Yuki & Asuna acrylic stand keyholders," which are exclusive to WAON. This prize is a limited novelty that can only be obtained through the AEON Style Tennocho project scheduled for December, except for this campaign.

AEON STYLE Tennocho x SWORD ART ONLINE Limited collaboration project for a limited time

A special collaboration event will be held for 10 days from December 2 (Fri.) to 11 (Sun.) at AEON STYLE Tennocho, which is located near Hoshikawa Station on the Sotetsu Line, one of the locations where the popular episode "Mother's Rosary" takes place. Local WAON" and "Yokohama Mirai WAON

The "Gotochi WAON" is a type of Aeon's WAON e-money and has been issued since 2009 based on the company's corporate philosophy of contributing to local communities.
