The Game Awards 2019 Awards announced! Best Picture "Game of the Year" goes to SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE

The winners of the awards were announced on December 12, 2019 (local time) at The Game Awards 2019 in Los Angeles, USA. The "Game of the Year", the best game, was awarded to the action adventure "SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE" (FromSoftware/ACTIVISION) for PS4/Xbox One/PC.

SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE" is From Software's latest title, co-developed with ACTIVISION, and is an action adventure set in the Sengoku, the bloodiest era in history. It is a masterpiece that has captivated gamers around the world with its well-thought-out game systems, including sword fights where swords clash with swords, a variety of actions made possible by ninja prosthetic hands, and a "regeneration" system that allows players to fight using even their own mortality.

The game also won the Gold Prize at the recently held PlayStation Awards 2019, as well as the Award of Excellence in the Annual Awards category at the Japan Game Awards 2019, making it a highly acclaimed work both domestically and internationally.
