Additional performers for the Nakano x Suginami x Toshima Anime & Manga Fest 2022 "Mazinger Z 50th Anniversary Special Z" have been announced. In addition, "Mazinger Z HD Remastered Version" will be distributed.

Toru Inada will appear in "Mazinger Z 50th Anniversary Special Program Z", a special program commemorating the 50th anniversary of "Mazinger Z", which will be distributed on the official YouTube channel "Toei Animation Museum Channel" as an event of "Nakano x Suginami x Toshima Anime & Manga Fest 2022" on December 3, 2022 (Saturday). Toru Inada, Takanobu Terada, Sei Okazaki, and Masaru Hayakawa will be added to the cast of "Mazinger Z 50th Anniversary Special Program Z," which will be distributed on the official YouTube channel "Toei Animation Museum Channel," and "Mazinger Z HD Remastered Edition" will be distributed in the program.

Mazinger Z," a robot animation series created by manga artist Go Nagai, was broadcast from December 1972 to September 1974, grabbing the hearts of children all over Japan, and was so popular that it recorded an average viewer rating of 22% (highest rating of 30%), and was even called a social phenomenon at the time.

In order to protect the earth from Dr. Hell, who is trying to take over the world, the genius scientist Dr. Juzo Kabuto created a giant super robot that can become both a god and a demon. This was "Mazinger Z," made of a material called "superalloy Z. Dr. Kabuto was attacked and killed by Baron Ashura, who was a close associate of Dr. Hell, but his grandson, Kouji Kabuto, took over his will and decided to fight alongside Mazinger Z.
A pioneering work of giant robot heroes, it established one of the hero animation styles, including the sequel "Great Mazinger" and "UFO Grendizer," which share the same world view. In addition to the anime, the "Jumbo Mazinger" and the Chogokin series of toys released by Bandai were also big hits.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of "Mazinger Z," a special program "Nakano x Suginami x Toshima Anime & Manga Fest 2022 'Mazinger Z 50th Anniversary Special Z'" will be broadcast at 19:00 on December 3 (Sat), the same time as 50 years ago when the TV broadcast began. In addition to Ichiro Mizuki, who sings the "Mazinger Z" theme song, voice actor Toru Inada, game creator Takanobu Terada, producer of the Super Robot Wars series, BANDAI SPIRITS "Soul of Chogokin" project manager Sei Okazaki, and writer Yu Hayakawa will appear. They will talk about the history of "Mazinger Z" and its appeal.

The first episode of "Mazinger Z HD Remastered Edition" will also be distributed during the program. The distribution will start every Saturday at 19:00 on the Toei Animation Museum Channel from December 10 (Sat) onward.
