On December 8, 2019 (Sun), the completion announcement preview of the new OVA of the TV anime "Tsugumomo" was held at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba.

Based on a manga by Yoshikazu Hamada, the series is currently serialized in Monthly Action. It has become a popular work with 23 volumes of comics released to date, and was adapted into a TV anime in April 2017. In this "yokai action comedy," an ordinary boy, Kagami Kazuya, confronts a series of bizarre incidents after a chance encounter with Kiriba, a mourning god with an "obi" (belt) that appears out of nowhere. In addition to the tense battle scenes, the series is also popular for its sexy scenes involving beautiful girl characters.

The new OVA was produced through a crowdfunding campaign to visualize "a little bit more H-rated episodes that cannot be broadcast on TV" prior to the second anime season "Tsugumomo," which will be broadcast from April 2020. The goal of 3 million yen was reached the day after the project was announced. The final amount reached 7,989,500 yen, 266% of the goal.

The completion preview held on the day was one of the gifts given to the supporters of the crowdfunding project: not only could the OVA be viewed on a movie theater screen, but the voice actors also appeared in a talk event after the screening. Naomi Ozora (Kiriba), Yurika Kubo (Kukuri), Eriko Matsui (Kuroyoh), and Noriko Shibasaki (Chisato Chikaishi) shared their thoughts on the OVA and the new film.

The new OVA consists of a series of short stories based on episodes from the original manga and an original script. As the title of the new OVA states, "It cannot be broadcast on TV," it depicts the warm interaction between the main character Kazuya and the beautiful girl characters, with a high percentage of skin color on the screen.

When the cast appeared on stage after the screening, the venue was filled with applause. Yurika Kubo said, "I don't know how I should be sitting here right now, ...... but it may be awkward for you all. ......," to which the audience laughed, as if they had understood what she meant.
