The once vibrant village has been burned to the ground by the knight and his guards, and the smell of deep smoke and death pervades the air.
The crumbling buildings littered with ruins tell a horrific piece of history. The marketplace in the center of the village is now nothing more than a graveyard where broken carts lie. The map's palettes, destructible walls, and other essential gameplay elements have been designed to fit the medieval theme, and even the escape gates are made of wrought iron reminiscent of this era.

The new killer, The Knight, is a brutal and calculating warrior, clad in blood-soaked armor and wielding a large sword that leaves survivors shaken. The Knight, whose name is Tarhosh Kovac, betrayed his employer, Vittorio Toscano, for his own ambitions. He is one of the biggest killers in "Dead by Daylight" and his special ability "Graldia Compa NieR" is also one of the most strategic.
Knight can summon three types of AI-controlled guards - "Executioners," "Assassins," and "Guards" - to patrol the map and carry out his orders. Each of the three guards has its own unique abilities, and survivors must deal with the various dangers that the knight unleashes.

The new survivor, Vittorio Toscano, is a pacifist in contrast to Knight, a scholar who investigates ancient secrets and mysteries to bring peace and order to the world.
