The results of the final tournament of the "PuyoPuyo Championship SEASON 2 December Tournament," a professional "PuyoPuyo" tournament held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Asakusa Hana Yashiki in Tokyo, Japan, have been announced.


Held at the Asakusa Hana Theater in Asakusa Hana-Yashiki, this was the first time for a Puyopuyo tournament to be held in a "ring," and the battles were even hotter than usual. The winner of the fierce battle and the 1 million yen prize money was high school student professional "Mackie. Mackie is a remarkable player who won the "Puyopuyo eSports" division of the "National Prefectural eSports Championship 2019 IBARAKI," a cultural program of the 74th National Sports Festival Iki Ibaraki Yume Kokutai 2019, held this October, and came in first in the nation.

Puyo Puyo Cup SEASON 2 February," a mixed competition for professional and general players, will be held on February 8 (Sat) and February 15 (Sat), 2020, in Tokyo and Osaka. Entry for the tournament is now open to the general public. Entries are being accepted on the PuyoPuyo community site "PuyoPuyo Camp" until 23:59 on Monday, January 13, 2020 (national holiday), so if you wish to participate, please check the entry method and terms of participation before applying.


It was also announced that "PuyoPuyo Finals SEASON 2," a special tournament to determine the true champion of "PuyoPuyo Ranking SEASON 2," will be held at the Phoenix Seagaia Resort, an extraordinary resort in Miyazaki Prefecture. This tournament will be a league game for professional players, in which the top 3 players in the championship points and the top 5 players in the season ranking points will participate.

The "Puyopuyo Cup SEASON 2 February Tournament" is a Japan eSports Pro License tournament of the Japan eSports Union (JeSU), in which all players who meet the eligibility requirements and comply with the rules are eligible to participate.
This is a mixed competition of "Puyopuyo" series professional license holders and general players, and if a general player finishes in the top four, he or she will be granted the right to issue a "Puyopuyo" series professional license, which serves as a selection process for professional players.
The format of the tournament is a two-part preliminary league and final tournament, with the first-place finisher from each block in the preliminary league eligible to participate in the final tournament. The final tournament will be played in a single-elimination format to determine the ranking. Various awards will be given to the top players.
