A new product in the TOMY "Tomica" lineup will be released on December 29, 2022 (Thursday) in the form of a lottery to celebrate the New Year.

The "Hatsuharu Tomica" series of Tomica products for the New Year has been developed since 2013 with a focus on "Japaneseness" and "New Year's character. The "FUKUTOKU TOMICA" is the ninth in the series, and features "lucky animals" in the form of TOMICA models, wishing for happiness in the year 2023.

The "Peacock," making its first appearance on Tomica, and the "Rabbit," the Chinese zodiac sign for the year 2023. The "Lion," which runs powerfully through the earth and brings good luck. The "Eagle" runs through the sky, bringing good luck. The "Tendou Insect," a symbol of good luck, moves on a leaf toward the celestial path (the sun). The "Kabuto-Mushi," a symbol of armor-like strength and good fortune - a total of six different animals are included in the lineup.

The matte painted base with fine gold decorations is a different look from the usual Tomica, and the roof and wheels are also noteworthy, as they represent the characteristics of each animal.
