Comic Market 101] Aquarium, Melon Bread and Honey! Unusual participating companies found at the Comiket venue!
Comic Market 101 is being held at Ariake Big Sight in Tokyo for two days from December 30 (Fri.) to 31 (Sat.), 2022.
Comic Market is often thought of as a place for doujinshi and cosplayers to showcase their work, but it is also a place for subcultural expression, with a wide variety of circles and companies participating.
The same is true for corporate booths, which are not limited to anime, games, goods, and other companies involved in the core subculture, but also include a wide variety of companies that may make you think, "What? These companies too? and "What?
Let Akiba Research Institute introduce some of the more unusual companies we encountered at the show.
Everyone at the booths is very friendly, so if you are going to be there on the 31st, why not visit their booths?
■HAPPyHAPPy Happy Melon Pan
HAPPyHAPPy Happy Melon Pan, which has a store in Saitama Prefecture and also sells its products in a mobile kitchen car, will be exhibiting at the booth!
Why melon bread at Comiket? But the sugar in the melon bread is good for the body after a long day of visiting circles. Melon Pan is a great way to recover from fatigue.
The manager and all the staff are super energetic! The witty customer service is also worth a visit.
The menu includes the standard "sugar butter" flavor, "salted butter" flavor, "first love lemon" flavor, "with chocolate chips" and other delicious-looking flavors, as well as "soybean flour" flavor, "coarse lamb" flavor, "lady's milk tea" flavor, and even "black pepper" flavor. There is also a wide variety of flavors such as "kinako" (soybean flour), "zarame" (soybean flour), and "kuromo" (black pepper).
We hope you will try them all.
Nagoya Port Aquarium
The Port of Nagoya Aquarium, located at the Port of Nagoya Garden Pier in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, and currently boasting the largest water volume and total floor space in Japan, will be participating in Comiket!
As long as we're participating in Comiket, we have to make a doujinshi! So the aquarium went out of its way to produce a thin book for this event, which is surprising.
In addition, there were dolphin accessaries, photo books, original specimen gacha, and a variety of other items.
In addition, there were dolphin acuta, photo books, an original specimen gacha, and earrings made from real penguin feathers.
By the way, you can even smell the shed feathers of an Adélie penguin chick. It smells really bad!
Mitsubachi Bee Farm
A beekeeper based in the Izu Peninsula is participating in Comiket.
He has been attending Comiket for several years and is actually a regular visitor.
Why did he decide to participate in Comiket in the first place? Some people may ask, "Why did he join Comiket in the first place? He originally exhibited at creative and creator-oriented events, but then realized that a large percentage of his customers were also Comiket attendees, so he decided to participate in fanzine sales events such as Comiket as well.
The company's products are made from natural raw honey, a special kind of honey.
Please come and try them for yourself!
