On Sunday, January 8, 2023, "My Youth in Arcadia" will be broadcast at 7:00 pm.
The original author, Leiji Matsumoto, put all his passion into this work as the culmination of his Harlock works, and it is the definitive Harlock version with a dramatic storyline and great adventures with fascinating mecha that fill the screen.
How did Harlock become one-eyed, who gave him the black cape, and why did he become a pirate? The film also depicts Harlock's first encounter with his lover, Tochiro Emeraldus, and more.
The voice cast includes Yujiro Ishihara, and the film is an animated blockbuster produced by a top-notch staff and cast.

＜Story
On the bridge of the spaceship Death Shadow, a lone man sips a glass of sake, the young Harlock. The captain of the Death Shadow, which is transporting refugees from the colony to Earth after a battle with the space invader Illumidus, Harlock can do nothing but hold back tears of disappointment. The Earth occupied by Illumidas was in ruins without a trace. Zor, the proud hero of the planet Tokaga, who had once fought against Illumidas, had now become an unwilling soldier in the enemy's employ. Harlock reported to the general headquarters of the Illumidas Occupation Forces on Earth, where he was ordered by Zeda Commander Murigson and Prime Minister Trita of the Kylai government to be expelled as a dangerous element. Angered, Harlock went on a rampage against the Illumidas officers, but he learned of the mysterious Japanese Tochiro, who joined the fight and sided with him.
