Uesaka Sumire appeared at the photo book release event in bunny ears style! Uesaka Sumire's 2nd photo book "Sumire no Yume" is now on sale!

An event was held on January 8, 2023 to celebrate the release of Uesaka Sumire's second photo book "Sumire no Yume" (Sumire's Dream).

Uesaka Sumire is a voice actress and artist who is well-known for her role as Ram in the anime "Urusei Yatsura," which is currently on air. Her latest photo book, her first in two years, was released on November 11, 2022, and an event was held on January 8, 2023, to celebrate the release.

The book was shot in Tokyo and Okinawa, and produced by Uesaka Sumire herself. In order to express the "belated youth" that she had always wanted to try, fresh swimsuit shots were taken at beaches and villas in Okinawa, and yukata and mature knitwear styles were shot at ryokan (traditional Japanese inns) and studios in Tokyo. The costume lineup included "bikini," "china," "bunny girl," "yukata," "knit," and "maid," as well as lingerie cuts and healthy sportswear that are beautiful from the same gender perspective. A newly written mini-essay describing her feelings about each costume is also included. The photo book, which focuses on a new and unprecedented side of her, has received a great response, with the book going into heavy print within two weeks of its release.

We have just received a direct interview with Ms. Uesaka, who has just finished a photo book venting.

Interview

What did you think of the event?

It was the first time for me to see my comrades in arms this year, and it was also the first time for me to see them. For me, it was the first event in front of my comrades this year, so it was a good start for me to meet them (in person and online).

Q. What has been the response to your photo book?

I've received a lot of positive feedback from female voice actors. I thought it would be quite embarrassing to give it to them face to face, but there were some female voice actors who bought it. It was unexpected, so I was very happy.

Q: Since today is the "Year of the Rabbit," you appeared in a costume with a rabbit motif, didn't you?

The bunny girl outfit I wore in the photo book looked cold, so I was asked to wear a one-piece dress with lop ear bunny ears and rabbit embroidery.

--Please tell us about your favorite page.

The scene in which I challenged myself to eat very spicy ramen noodles in a Chinese dress is one of my favorites, as I often receive compliments on it. The day we shot the yukata scene was the day after it snowed in Tokyo and it was very cold, so I have fond memories of how nice the hot spring bath felt."

Q: Which location was particularly memorable for you?

We rented out a villa in Okinawa for the shoot, but at first I was like, "What's a villa? But when I went there, I found it to be a very nice place with a swimming pool and a whole building for rent. I would definitely like to stay there next time. I was also surprised to learn that there are hot springs in the heart of the city.

Q: What are your goals for this year?

I'm the type of person who takes a long time to set goals, so I'll tell you my most immediate goal: to change the light bulb in my bathroom because the light is out!

Q: Finally, what would you like to say to the event participants?

I recommend that at least once in your life you take a picture of yourself in a white bikini or eating hot and spicy ramen noodles while sweating with a fixed-point camera. It's a lot of fun, and it will be the memory of your life."
