Shin Evangelion the Movie EVANGELION: 3.0+1.11 THRICE UPON A TIME" 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Specifications Information
The video material for this UHD was produced to the same specifications as mastered for IMAX screenings.
The video standard is SDR (Standard Dynamic Range (*1)), which is used for normal TV broadcasting, etc. However, its color gamut is BT.2020 (*3), the UHD standard, which is wider than the normal HD broadcasting standard, BT.709 (*2).
This means that the 4K progressive specification maintains a wide color gamut and, unlike the interlaced method used in TV broadcasting, reduces flickering of the image.
In addition, the expression "4K3840p" is used for video use, which describes the information on the long side of 3840 x 2160 pixels, which is 4K picture quality.
1
What is dynamic range?
It represents the range of brightness that can be expressed by an image.
For comparison with HDR (High Dynamic Range) used in UHD and 4K broadcasting, current broadcasting is described as SDR (Standard Dynamic Range).
In the case of conventional SDR-compatible monitors, the peak of the brightest white is about 100 nits, but HDR-compatible monitors can display 1000 nits or more.

BT.709/BT.2020 ITU-R BT.709 is an HD broadcast standard, while ITU-R BT.2020 is a UHD standard.
