＜Introduction＞
Total A huge city spreading out in the western part of Tokyo with a population of 2.3 million. The city is called "school city" because about 80% of its population is made up of students. At the top of the list are seven "psychics" who are considered to be the strongest. One of them is Misaka Mikoto. She is a 14-year-old junior high school student at Tokiwadai Junior High School, a prestigious school for young ladies, and is known as a "railgun," a top-level "electro-master" who can manipulate electricity at will.
Her junior and "Judgment" student is Kuroko Shirai. Her colleague, Shikari Hatsuharu, who is a lady's dreamer, and her friend, Saten Ruiko, who loves urban legends. The peaceful, ordinary, and slightly unusual daily life in the school city with these friends is about to be interrupted by a big event that happens once a year. The "Great High Star Festival". It is a huge sports festival held for seven days, where people with abilities compete in fierce battles on a school-by-school basis.
During the festival, a part of the school city was opened to the public, and everyone was in high spirits in anticipation of the lively event that would be broadcast live to the entire world. But what was stirring behind the scenes was completely unnoticed...
