Third Loewe x Studio Ghibli Collaboration! Howl's Moving Castle" capsule collection is now available! A pop-up store will also be held!

Loewe and Studio Ghibli are collaborating on a new project. The final collaboration will be with "Howl's Moving Castle".

In the "Howl's Moving Castle" capsule collection, the main characters Sophie and Howl, as well as other well-known characters from the film, such as the fire demon Calcifer, Markl, Hin, the Scarecrow Cub, and the Witch of the Waste Land, are depicted vividly on leather, shearling, and fine fabrics, The characters are vividly depicted on leather, shearling, and fine fabrics using intarsia, embroidery, inlay, and other techniques.

The characters appear on the brand's iconic bags, such as the Puzzle, Flamenco, Hammock, Amazona, Luna, and Bracelet Pouch, as well as on a variety of small leather goods, jumpers, jackets, shirts, and other clothing. They are depicted as if they were alive through the realistic touch of appliques, raffia, feathers, and other quirks that they add.

Scenes from the film are printed on the lining of tweed jackets and all over shirts and shorts.
Feathers on cardigans dance magically, and some silhouettes are reminiscent of characters in the film. And even the "castle" itself appears as a bag.
The castle is formed in its own unique form by collaging fragments and remnants of signature bags such as puzzle, flamenco, amasona, and hammock.

The Loewe x Studio Ghibli "Howl's Moving Castle" capsule collection will be available in stores from February 2, 2023 (Thu).
Some Calcifer items will be sold only online. Online pre-sale for pre-registered customers only will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1.

■Holding a pop-up store
To celebrate the launch of the collection, a pop-up store will be held in Omotesando, Tokyo, bringing the world of "Howl's Moving Castle" to life.
The pop-up store will be open for seven days only, from February 2 (Thu.) to February 8 (Wed.). This pop-up store, which requires reservations, is the only one in Japan to offer the entire lineup of the collection.
The exterior of the store looks as if a moving castle has actually appeared, background paintings of movies provided by Studio Ghibli are displayed in the store, and there is even a photo spot where visitors can take pictures at Calcifer's fireplace, allowing shoppers to enjoy the magical world of the works as much as possible. Also in Kansai, a pop-up store will be held at Hankyu Umeda main store for 6 days only from February 2 (Thu).
