The entire history of space exploration starting from the Apollo moon landing in 1969, the great voyage to Iskandar in 2199, and the Battle of Gatlantis in 2202, is recorded in the history of mankind and space history. The film is 120 minutes of lamentations, interwoven with new cuts and newly recorded narration, and reconstructed with "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love" at its center!

A live-action film adaptation of the much-loved national anime classic, Yamato, starring Takuya Kimura.
One day, an unidentified object falls to earth. It was a communication capsule released from Iskandar, a planet 148,000 light years away in the distant galaxy. According to the capsule's information, Iscandar has a device that can purify radiation. It was the last hope for mankind. The Earth Defense Forces decided to build the last space battleship [Yamato] and dispatch it to Iskandar. Ancient, determined to return to the battlefield, volunteers to board the Yamato. One year remains until the destruction of the earth. Now, Yamato's epic journey of battle has begun.
