This title is a spin-off of "Yakuza" featuring characters from the series as Bakumatsu Shishi, "Yakuza Restoration!" (released in 2014), which features characters from the series as Bakumatsu Shishi, in a "pole" version with a variety of additional elements and evolved graphics. The game depicts the epic story of Ryoma Sakamoto, a hero of the Meiji Restoration, if he had joined the Shinsengumi, the strongest group of swordsmen in the final days of the Tokugawa shogunate. ...... The characters and actors who have newly appeared in "Yakuza 0" and "Yakuza 7" are also noteworthy.

Four battle styles.

In this title, players can freely switch between four battle styles ("kata"): "Itto", "Shogun", "Ranbu", and "Fighting". The kata greatly affects battle tactics, and choosing the appropriate kata for a given situation changes the difficulty of the battle. There are also "heat actions" and "special moves" available depending on the kata.

One Sword

This is a power-oriented kata with a large damage per blow and is also capable of tame attacks. It is relatively easy to use, as it is good at both offensive and defensive attacks, and can defend against blades and bullets by using the sword for protection. It is often effective in one-on-one battles such as boss battles.

<Magatsurugakureshi>.
Among the basic Itto techniques, the "Itsukazushi" is most effective when used properly.
This technique can break down the enemy's defense, allowing the attacker to push even against a defensive enemy.

＜The "Zekketsu Ryuugi Issen" technique.
This is a technique in which the fighter, after retracting the sword and holding it, closes the distance at high speed and slashes at an enemy at a distance.
After slashing at an enemy, the user can then approach another enemy and attack them one after the other.

Short rifle

This type is characterized by ranged attacks from a long distance. Special bullets with a variety of effects, such as poison and fire, can be used to advance the battle. Also, while blades and bullets cannot normally be defended against, depending on the special effects of the armor equipped, blades and bullets can be defended against as well.

<Rodoro-shooting
This can be fired while firing in rapid succession, and can hit multiple enemies due to its diffuse fire.
As it grows, it can increase the number of times it can fire.

＜Zekijutsu: Flame Dragon Type
Able to aim and fire a number of rounds at once. It can be used against multiple enemies or to fire a large number of rounds at a single enemy. As it grows, the number of bullets can be increased and special bullets can be fired.

Ranbu

Ranbu is a type of attack that combines slashes and shots in a continuous attack, and is characterized by its ability to evade enemy attacks repeatedly with a dance-like movement.
It is very effective when surrounded by a large group or enemies. By continuously evading the enemy, it is possible to keep a large distance from the enemy and regain control of the situation.

＜Phoenix Formation
The Houou-jin is a technique in which a gun and a sword are used simultaneously to attack surrounding enemies. The attack can be canceled by evading during the Phoenix Formation, and the Phoenix Formation can be performed again, so with proper control, the attacker can continue to attack the surrounding area without a break.

＜Zetsu-teki Tenryu Ranbu
While spinning and moving, he swings his sword and shoots wildly, knocking down surrounding enemies. This technique has a wide attack range and is very effective when surrounded by a large number of enemies.

Fighting

This style is characterized by speed and fist fighting. Although the power of a single blow is low, the fighter can use his speed to deliver a series of blows or pick up objects in the city to attack. If a fighter successfully dodges an enemy's attack, he gains the "war cry" effect, which renders him invincible for a certain period of time, allowing him to concentrate on his attack and become more powerful.

<Ukewashi>.
By parrying an enemy's blow with a sword or other weapon just before it hits, the enemy's stance will be broken, and the "war cry" will be activated, allowing the attacker to go on the offensive.

This is a great move that continuously strikes a single enemy. This technique is effective when you want to inflict damage on a specific enemy.
