According to the announcement on the official website of his agency "Sigma Seven," Shozo Iizuka passed away at 9:14 a.m. on February 15, 2023, due to acute heart failure.
He was 89 years old.

According to the wishes of his bereaved family, the funeral was held only with his next of kin.


Mr. Iizuka played Hakaider in the tokusatsu movie "Android Kikaider," Gil Hakaider in "Kikaider 01," Doruge in "Choujin Barom 1," and Bamba, the emperor of "Inazuman. He also voiced a number of characters in the position of the head of the group, such as Don Horror in "Space Cop Gabin," the first in the "Metal Hero" series.
