The winners of the 9th Cover Girl Awards, which honor women who have graced the covers of magazines and other publications in 2022, have been announced.

The Cover Girl Awards were announced by the Cover Girl Awards Executive Committee (Japan Magazine Publishers Association and Fujiyama Magazine Service Co.

The survey covered approximately 10,000 magazines, mainly magazines, free papers, and e-magazines that will be on sale in 2022 and available on the online bookstore Fujisan.co.jp. The most frequently featured women on the cover, such as cosplayers and idols, were selected.

The grand prize went to Enako!
The grand prize of the "9th Cover Girl Awards" goes to cosplayer Enako for the second year in a row. Continuing from 2021, the "Enako Summer Cover Jack Campaign 2022," a special project that spanned multiple publishers, continued to adorn the covers of all 17 manga magazines and weekly magazines released in August, and enlivened the magazine industry in 2022.

In 2022, she produced apparel, held POP-UP stores, and released a cosplay photo collection "Kosmikku World" in collaboration with Rumiko Takahashi, the author of "Urusei Yatsura" and "Inuyasha", etc. In 2023, she made her debut as a singer of anime songs. She will also make her debut as a singer of anime songs in 2023, and her momentum is unstoppable.

Enako has become the pride of Japan in both name and reality, and we look forward to seeing more of her in the future.

Miku Tanaka won first place in the Entertainment/Music category!
The first place in the Entertainment and Music category went to Miku Tanaka of HKT48. Nicknamed "Mikurin," Miku Tanaka joined HKT48 in 2013 as a sixth grader and is now the ace of the group.

Starting with her first photo book, "1/2 Girl," released in 2021, she has made an increasing number of solo appearances and has been featured on the covers of various magazines, and is often called the "gravure queen" of the 48 group.

In the previous year's "8th Cover Girl Awards," she was ranked 10th overall, and in this year's "9th Cover Girl Awards," she won in the Entertainment and Music categories and was also ranked 2nd overall.
