30 years after "Touch" - Spring Anime "MIX 2nd SEASON" to start airing on April 1! Comments from Hiroki Kaji and others, theme song, and key visual revealed!

The key visual, theme song, and cast comments have been released from the TV anime "MIX MEISEI STORY ~Ni no Natsu, Sora no Mukou e" which will start airing on April 1 (Sat).

MIX" is set in Meisei Academy, about 30 years after the immortal masterpiece "Touch" by Mitsuru Adachi. It is a coming-of-age romantic comedy in which the Tachibana brothers, who are not blood-related, join a baseball club that has completely fallen into disrepair and aim to participate in the Koshien Tournament for the first time since Tatsuya Uesugi and his team.

In spring 2019, the TV anime "MIX MEISEI STORY" will begin airing. Then, on April 1, 2023 (Sat), the long-awaited 2nd SEASON "MIX MEISEI STORY ~Ni no Natsu, Sora no Mukou e" will begin airing on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks nationwide.

While the relationship between Tatsuya Uesugi and the main characters is gradually being revealed, "MIX MEISEI STORY" has reached its final episode - the 2nd SEASON will depict the second-year high school students, who have become the main characters of the team.

The OP theme is now "Starting Over" by sumika and the ED theme is "Harunooto" by miwa. Comments from the main cast members, including Yuki Kaji, Yuma Uchida, Marei Uchida, and Kana Hanazawa, have also been released.

I stood in front of the microphone, thinking about the joy of playing the role of Tatehana Touma again. As I watched the film, which was created with the unique atmosphere of Mitsuru Adachi's works in mind, I was deeply moved during the postrecording and thought, "Ah, I've come back to Meisei. I was very happy. I couldn't stop turning the pages of the original manga that I had read for review, and I felt again that it was an interesting work.
I am really looking forward to seeing the second season of the anime. Please look forward to it!

MIX is back! It's been four years since I last worked on it, since 2019.
