CODE:SEED - Hoshihi-no Uta - was released on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. It is a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements, set in a devastated world, where you fight the oncoming zombies.

Players fight alongside beautiful girls named after historical figures such as Ieyasu Tokugawa, Napoleon, and Newton. They are called "SEED" and have superhuman fighting skills and immunity to zombies. The game also features a cast of voice actors, including Yui Ishikawa, Marina Inoue, and Sumire Uesaka, who provide the voices of the characters.

As a strategy game, battles are highly strategic. Characters have red and blue cores, which are lined up at the bottom of the screen when a battle begins. Tap to erase them, and skills are activated. If the corresponding cores are next to each other, they can be swiped to erase them all at once (cores are replenished each time they are used). In this case, the skill changes according to the number of cores. It is up to the player whether to use one or two cores to launch a series of weaker skills, or to adjust the order of the cores so that many corresponding cores are lined up in a row, and then to use a powerful skill to attack at once.

At the base, various facilities can be constructed. The player has a high degree of freedom to install solar panels to secure electricity, lay tiles, create cultivated gardens, and so on.
