Netflix Anime "Demon-kun" to be Distributed this Fall! Special video and four new cast members are announced!

The Netflix series "Akuma-kun," which will be released in the fall of 2023, has revealed a special trailer and new cast members.

One of the best-known works by Shigeru Mizuki, the manga artist, "Akuma-kun" is a story about a boy genius, "Akuma-kun," who is one in 10,000 years and aims to create an ideal world without conflict and hunger with the help of demons and the Twelve Apostles, including Mephistopheles. Since its publication as a rental manga in 1963, the story has been adapted several times with different protagonists and settings, and has been made into a film several times.

A completely new animation of "Akuma-kun" will be released on Netflix this fall.

The general director is Junichi Sato, who was the series director for the 1989 TV anime, with production by Toei Animation and animation production by Encourage Films. The main cast includes Hiroki Kaji as Akuma-kun/Urureki Ichiro, and his partner Mephisto III is played by Toshio Furukawa, who once played Mephisto II.

＜Synopsis
The Millennium Institute is a consulting office where strange requests come in.
The owner of the institute, Ichiro Bururegi-kun, a.k.a. "Devil-kun," is a boy genius who will become a genius only once in 10,000 years. However, he does not know his real family. The story is a buddy-drama in which "Akuma-kun" and his partner, Mephisto III, are on a quest to solve the mystery of their origins while taking on mysterious cases.

Four new members have been cast!

Ryoko Shiraishi will play the mother, Sanae Kazama, a new character related to Demon-kun, Yumiri Hanamori will play the daughter, Mio, Ai Fayrouz will play the demon, Gremory, and Yukiyo Fujii will play Hina Asanagi, a college girl who meets him in a certain case.

Also, as new staff information, Shu Shibuya will be the character designer and chief animation director, Yumiko Kukan the art director, Kunio Tsujita the color designer, Takeo Ogihara the director of photography, Wataru Koshisakabe the magician designer, and Akio Izutsu the music director.

Kitaro-kun & Akuma-kun Ouenbu" service was launched!

Kitaro & Akuma-kun Cheering Club", a fan app for "Akuma-kun" and the movie "Kitaro: The Birth of GeGeGeGe Mystery", which will be released this fall, is now available for download on App Store and Google Play.
