Macross 40th anniversary hands-on event "Macross Super Dimension Festival 40th Anniversary! Deculture! will be held in Osaka and Hakata, starting on June 9 (Fri.) in Tokyo!

Macross Super Dimension Festival: The 40th Anniversary of the "Macross" series Deculture! will be held at the interactive retail facility "Namco Bandai Cross Store Tokyo" (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) from June 9 (Friday) to July 30 (Sunday), 2023.

The event will feature illustrations by Risa Ebata, character designer for "Macross F (Frontier)," featuring all the pilots and divas from the series.

At the venue, there will be three attractions that can only be experienced here to enjoy the world view of the "Macross" series, and two mini-games where you can win original prizes. Original goods using original illustrations and original food and drinks with motifs from the works will also be on sale.

Some of the original goods will be sold in limited quantities at "Premium Bandai," the official mail order site of Namco Bandai Group.

The event will also be held in Osaka and Hakata, and details will be announced later on the event's official website and Twitter.

Attractions

Three attractions to enjoy the world of "Macross" series. You will receive a participation bonus after experiencing the attractions.

★Quiz & Story Experience Attraction: Chozoku Sugoroku Quiz Tour
Fee: 1,100 yen per play

You can choose from two courses: "Macross F" and "Macross Delta".

This is a backgammon-type attraction using monitors and touch panels to look back on the events that took place in each work. On the way to the goal, various quizzes related to the "Macross" series will be asked, and the ending will change depending on the results of the quizzes.

After the experience, visitors will receive an "Intergalactic Glitter BIG Can Badge" (11 kinds in total). Those who successfully reach the goal will also receive an additional clear prize, a "commemorative postcard" (5 kinds in total).

Diagnosis type attraction: McFest version pilot enlistment test & diva aptitude diagnosis

Fee: 1,100 yen per play

There are two courses to choose from: "Pilot Enlistment Test" and "Diva Aptitude Test".

An interactive attraction where players can enjoy diagnosing the type of character similar to their own abilities from a knowledge quiz about the "Macross" series, a personality test of the player, and a timing game that resembles a practical test.

The entire series, both TV and OVA (original video animation) versions, appear in the attraction. There are more than 40 types of results! After the experience, you will receive a "Diagnosis Result Sheet" according to your results.

Photo Spot Attraction: I am the Diva! Pinch Hitter LIVE!

Fee: 800 yen per play

A photo spot attraction where you can enjoy a virtual dress-up experience using large AR signage, just like the holograms in the movie. Change into the costumes of various divas and strike a pose!

After the experience is over, you will receive an "instant photo-style bromide" as a participation bonus.

Standing statues of the YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie (piloted by Alto Saotome) and the VF-31J Siegfried (piloted by Hayate Immelmann), which appear in the film, will be on display.
