Aoshima Announces New Car Models of "Cyber Formula," "Initial D," "Knight Rider," and More! Aoshima's New Plastic Model Collection Part 1 [Special Feature at the 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show]!

The 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show is being held at Twinmesse Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture from May 10 (Wed) to 14 (Sun), 2023.

This event is one of the largest model and hobby events in Japan, held annually in Shizuoka Prefecture, where many model manufacturers gather. This year, a total of 95 companies and 2 organizations exhibited, far exceeding last year's event.
This year, the 10th and 11th are vendor invitation days, and the 12th is an invitation day for local elementary, junior high, and high school students to familiarize themselves with the modeling culture. The 13th and 14th are open to the public( registration for the open days has closed).

In this issue, we will introduce new plastic models, mainly car models, exhibited at the Aoshima Bunka Kyozai Sha (commonly known as Aoshima) booth!

First, let's start with the "Initial D" related kits!

■Hina Doll Plastic Models (reference exhibit)

A collaboration between plastic models and "Suruga Hina Dolls," a traditional Shizuoka craft!

The kimono and collar are those actually used on the Hina dolls.

The kimono, collar, and other parts are actually used in hina dolls. On the 12th, they conducted research with elementary and junior high school students who visited the event, and are planning to commercialize the models.
