A new product, "Marugame Shake Udon", which is tasted by shaking the freshly pounded udon noodles, will be available at "Marugame Seimen" stores nationwide from May 16 (Tue.), 2012. The Marugame Seimen restaurant operating in the Akihabara area is "Marugame Seimen atre Akihabara 1" on the first floor of the commercial facility "atre Akihabara 1".

Marugame Seimen is a Sanuki udon specialty restaurant that uses 100% domestically produced flour, and its craftsmen take the trouble of making noodles every day, cutting and boiling them on the spot, and serving them freshly made at all of its more than 800 stores in Japan.

Marugame Shake Udon," which will go on sale on May 16, is a "new take-out experience" that can be easily eaten anytime, anywhere, and by shaking it, not only does it taste even better as the chunky udon and ingredients are mixed together, but also the fun and excitement of shaking it can be experienced together. The lineup ranges from refreshing to hearty, with prices starting at 390 yen, making it an easy way to enjoy this new experience.

Ume Udon with grated ume plum and grated radish: 390 yen
[Ume plum, grated radish, wakame seaweed, and bukkake udon noodles (cold)
The sour ume plum and fresh grated daikon go perfectly with the udon noodles, which are watered down to a smooth texture!　It is perfect for the hot season as it is refreshing!


Mentaiko Tororo Udon (Mentaiko and grated yam) 390 yen
[Mentaiko (cod roe), grated yam, chopped nori, bukkake udon noodles (cold)
A bowl of cold bukkake udon topped with mentaiko (cod roe), grated yam, and chopped nori (seaweed). The spiciness of the cod roe combined with the mildness of the grated yam makes for an irresistible combination with the freshly made udon!


Spicy udon noodles with spicy sauce: 490 yen
[Udon noodles with tantan-miso meat paste, chopped nori and sesame sauce (cold)
The spicy hot bean paste is made in the restaurant. The spicy chicken and pork minced chicken is seasoned with hot and spicy hot sauce. The richness of the sesame-dare bukkake-dashi soup stock and the spiciness of the raayu (Chinese red chili oil) will whet your appetite.


Sesame sauce salad udon noodle (590 yen)
[Salad leaf, sesame dressing, and bukkake udon noodles, medium (cold)
This is Marugame Seimen's first takeout dish to be served in a cup with a salad and freshly made udon noodles. The crunchy vegetables, sticky udon noodles, sesame dressing, and bukkake dashi are a perfect combination for a refreshing taste!


Spicy Tangy Salad Udon" 740 yen

The colorful, crunchy vegetables and sticky udon noodles are combined with the spiciness of the tantan-miso meat paste and raayu (Chinese red chili oil) to make this an addictive dish. Mix the whole mixture together for a hearty taste!
