Transformers New Toys] MPG "Trainbot Yukikaze" In-Depth Review Part 2! The amazing mobility and proportions are remarkable!

The most robot-loving voice actor in the voice acting industry, Taiyuki, plays around with the latest toy toys and hobbies that interest him!

Yasuyuki's Toys and Games Vol. 30 MPG "Trainbot Yukikaze" Part 2

Continuing from the previous installment, this time we will be reviewing the "Trainbot Yukikaze" from the "Transformers" MPG series.

In the last issue, we introduced the E200 series Shinkansen form, comparing it to the Diaclone version on which it was based, and even the process of transforming it into robot mode.

Compared to the Diaclone version, the head, chest molding, "You pick up such details? and the detail of the four holes in the waist and the lines of the shins have been carried over well. The color scheme is also highly reproduced.

Back view. Trainbot is characterized by its back that looks like it is carrying the leading part of a bullet train. The Diaclone version was a replacement, but the MPG version is fully transformable.

This is the Diaclone version. This is the Diaclone version, which has a simple structure and combines deformation and merging well.

The Diaclone version is mini-sized, smaller than the MPG's legs, but that also means that the MPG is a more manageable size for adult hands. It can also be seen that the fine details of the Diaclone version have been sublimated into high detail while deforming it.

Around the chest; MPG uses clear parts for the head goggles. Two eyes can be seen behind them. In addition, the pattern on the chest, which was reproduced with stickers in the Diaclone version, is represented with clear parts in the MPG version.

Comparison of the lower half of the body, where the aforementioned four holes in the waist, etc. can be seen. It has evolved from the waist of the Diaclone version, which had no neckline, and has been arranged in a very nice style.

The modeling of the area above the knees and the details from the shins to the ankles are also arranged based on the Diaclone version.

Movable range of the head. The face can be raised, lowered, and rotated by ball joints. In this image, blue goggles and twin eyes can be seen through the goggles.

Shoulders are axially movable, but can be lifted more than 90° horizontally and 360° in front-back rotation.

Elbows are double-jointed. Wrist is axially rotatable. Fingers are movable to hold weapons.

Twist of the waist is possible up to the point where the parts interfere with each other.

The front skirt lifts, so the hip joints can be lifted forward about 90°. It is not lifted nearly as far backward.

The left and right leg openings can be extended to horizontal as shown.

Roll rotation at the top of the thighs.

The knee can be bent up to 90°.

The ankles are also moderately movable due to the complex deformation of the ankles. In addition to being able to topple inward, the toes can also topple downward.

The backpack can also be lifted slightly.

This may be a backstage trick, but by unlocking the chest and opening the panel, the upper body can be tilted forward.

Similarly, the locks at the base of the shoulders can be released, allowing the shoulders to swing backward.

Raiden's head can be attached to the backpack.

In addition to this, the shoulder panels can also be made movable by applying the movability for transformation.

Come on! Let's pose!"

Yukikaze is famous for her sumo wrestling as a diversion to attract the attention of Destron.

With its crisp ankles and excellent hip mobility, it can stand on its own even in such a high-kick pose.

Thanks to the balance of the leg lengths, it is also possible to stand on one knee.

Thanks to the twist of the hips, the pose of holding the snow laser is also powerful.

This pose looks like something you might see in an old robot cartoon. The toes are a little less mobile, but this level of posing is possible if the figure is balanced.

The shoulder panels can be lifted horizontally to create the effect of flipping over.

Please try to find your own unique posing by making full use of the backstage movement.

Shoki (right), the leader of the Trainbots and brother of Yukikaze. Although they are Transformers that transform from the same bullet train, their silhouettes are interestingly different because of the completely different transformation methods.

Two shots with Getsuei (right), who is also in charge of the legs. It is also interesting to note that the length of the cars is different between the Shinkansen and the Blue Train, but in robot mode, the height is almost the same.

Although there are some similarities in the deformation mechanism, they are almost completely different. I wonder how different the deformations of the two arm pairs that will be released will really be!

Here is a side-by-side of the three Trainbots released so far. I noticed that half of the members are now in place, and we have reached the turnaround point of the Raiden Project.

Finally, let's transform Yukikaze into a combined form! However, since there are many transformation steps here, I will skip a lot of them.

Transformation starts from Shinkansen mode. In this case, too, remove the heads of Snow Laser and Raiden in advance.

As with the transformation to robot mode, deploy the panels of each part.

Bend it 90 degrees.

The lifted part is divided into left and right parts, and the internal parts are deformed in detail.

It is difficult to explain in words, so I will just tell you that not only the internal parts but also the panels are beautifully deformed here.

And after all that has happened, it is almost complete.

Comparison with the leg mode of the Diaclone version (right). The Diaclone version has a super deformation that is completely different from the Diaclone version. While the Diaclone version was a replaceable deformation, the MPG version has achieved a complete deformation!

Raiden's head is combined with Shoki's in a straightforward manner. This alone is quite impressive.

Here are the three Trainbots that have already been released side by side, transformed into the combined mode. All that's left are the arms and waist. I can't wait to combine them, but I'll have to leave it at this point!

The next model to be released is Suiken, which will go on sale in June. This is the figure displayed at last year's exhibition event, but as for the transformation gimmick, it is unpredictable! I can't wait to touch it!

The booklet that came with the figure suggests that development of the Seizan and Kaen models that will follow is also underway. Takara Tomy! Good luck with the other half!

As we showed you at Getsuei, let's leave you with a final photo of the prototype Raiden and a prediction of the remaining Trainbot transformations!

Stay tuned for the rest of the Trainbots!
