The "NPB eSports Series Splatoon 2 2020" is a collaborative eSports tournament between the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and Nintendo's "Splatoon 2" in which professional eSports teams representing each of the 12 professional baseball teams will compete against each other using "Splatoon 2. The previous tournament was held on May 18 and 19, 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight's TFT Hall, with the team representing the Yokohama DeNA BayStars becoming the first Japanese champion.

The representatives for this year's tournament will be selected from among individuals who participated in the 5th Splatoon Koshien, which is sponsored by the NPB. Eligible applicants will be given a card to apply for this tournament in advance, and then go to the web entry form. After the document screening, successful applicants will form impromptu teams at several venues across the country to confirm their practical skills. Then, at the "e-Draft Conference," where professional baseball teams will be present, each team will select four representatives to make up the final team.
