The strategy for 2020 is "GGI! DAIGO is excited about the new "Dai no Daiboken" anime, and reports on the "Hoshidora CEO Inauguration Memorial Yuji Horii x DAIGO Live Conversation".

The legendary Dracula comic "DRAGON QUEST: Dai no Daiboken" will return as an anime! This pleasant surprise news was announced on December 21, 2019, at the "Jump Festa 2020" venue held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.

This news was announced during the "Hoshidora CEO Inauguration Commemorative Yuji Horii x DAIGO Live Talk" event on the Square Enix booth stage. This stage event was the first face-to-face meeting between Mr. DAIGO, who was appointed CEO (C=C=Can't say no, E=Edicts, O=Opinion, Customer) of the very popular smartphone game "Dragon Quest" (hereafter, "Hoshidora"), and Yuji Horii, the general director of the game. Producer Ryutaro Ichimura moderated the session, and a frank Dracula talk ensued.

Dracula freak DAIGO asked Yuji Horii a lot of questions!

DAIGO is a hardcore Dracula freak, saying, "I started playing Dracula when I was 8 years old. He said that he used to play with "Yari," the best name he found for himself, because the status of "I" changed depending on the name you registered at the beginning, and that he played with that name up to "III. I" was so difficult that I could clear the Dragon King's castle without using a torch. My favorite title was "II," in which I created the "Hakabusa no Tsurugi" (a subterfuge that allows the cursed weapon "Hakabusa no Tsurugi," which boasts the greatest offensive power, to be equipped without being cursed, while also having the effect of the "Hayabusa no Tsurugi" that can attack twice). In "III," the RPG I played the most in my life, I had four "Shiawase no Kutsu," an item rarely dropped by Hagure Metals, because I had played it too much. He played the latest game, "XI," with his wife, Keiko Kitagawa. DAIGO's memories of Dracula are nonstop, including a scene in which he cried uncontrollably when Veronica was killed by a penguin. Mr. Horii was so enthusiastic that he even tried to be a good listener.

Mr. DAIGO started playing "Hoshidora" about 3 years ago. It was around the time of the first anniversary of the game's release, and although he had not played before then, he has been hooked ever since. His dedication to the game has been publicized on Twitter and other social media, which led to his offer to become CEO of the company.

The commercial itself is a 5-minute video, but it was actually edited from the 2 hours of DAIGO talking about "Hoshidora". The response to the commercial was apparently quite strong, and DAIGO has been approached by many people saying, "I saw it.

When asked by DAIGO, "How do you come up with such innovative ideas for each commercial? Mr. Horii replied, "It's like making a surprise show.

DAIGO and Mr. Ichimura said they were surprised that after "I" and "II," "III" was a story from the past. Mr. Horii revealed the story behind the production, saying, "It would be boring if it was a story from the future again, so we decided to go back to the past," and "In III, we started with an event to see what would happen that would be interesting.

He also said, "It was already decided that the Demon King would be defeated, so we had to figure out how to make it up to that point.

DAIGO, who is a Dracula fanatic, also shared a behind-the-scenes story. In XI, the world with the main character and the world without the main character diverged at the end. What happened to the world without the main character? Mr. Horii responded, "It would be a pity if the two worlds remained separate, so the two worlds will eventually merge and become one. DAIGO's answer was a "good job" in that it provided an answer to an issue that has long been a source of controversy among fans! I guess you could say that.

When Mr. Horii asked Mr. DAIGO if he would like to continue as CEO next year, he replied, "Of course! Of course!" "GGI (GGI) will be there in 2020, too," DAIGO replied. GGI" of course means "G (gun) G (gun) I (let's) go.

DAIGO also approached the audience of "Hoshidora" players from the stage and frankly asked them how they were playing the game. His friendly personality created a relaxed mood in the audience.

New information about the legendary manga "Dai no Daiboken" was revealed as a surprise!

Mr. Saitobui, deputy editor-in-chief of "V Jump" (Shueisha), interrupted at this point. He made a surprise announcement about the new anime production of "DRAGON QUEST: Dai no Daiboken" (Dai Dai Dai).

Dai Dai" is a hit manga series written by Riku Sanjo (original story) and drawn by Koji Inada (artwork), which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1989 to 1996.

It was adapted into an animated TV series in 1991, but the story was still in the middle of its original serialization at the time, and the broadcast ended without completing the story. This new animation is a project to re-animate the story from the beginning using current technology. Animation production will be handled by Toei Animation, just as in the previous series. The broadcast is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2020.

In the released video, we can see "Dai's sword" thrust into the ground as depicted in the last page of the original manga, and Dai activating the dragon's crest and exploding with his special move "Avant Rush". Is this the way the story is going to be told? Amidst the growing anticipation, Riku Sanjo, the author of the original story, appeared on stage. In his hand was a piece of colored paper with a drawing of Avant-sensei by Koji Inada.

Mr. Sanjo and Mr. Horii shook hands firmly, and both looked back on the time when the serialization started.

Horii: "III became a social phenomenon, and I was approached about serializing the manga. However, doing the same thing as the game would not be interesting, so I decided to make it an original story.

Sanjo: "We started it as a promotion for Dracula IV as well. I liked monsters, so I decided to make it a manga about a boy who controls monsters."

DAIGO added, "Hyunkeru will appear (in the anime), right?" DAIGO also appealed for Hyunkeru, saying, "Hyunkeru will be in the anime, right? Being of the Strike generation, he was very excited by this news.

Mr. Ichimura said that this project has been in the works for several years, and that it was somehow able to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the serialization. The "Hoshidora" collaboration also helped to boost the excitement among users, he said.

The "Dai Dai" series has now been adapted into a video game. The game will be developed by Square Enix. The platform and release date are still undecided, but this is actually the first independent game adaptation, so expectations are high for this one as well.

In addition, a free serialization will begin on the web manga service "Shonen Jump +" on December 23, 2019, and the old anime series is scheduled to begin distribution for the first time around January 6, 2020, so 2020 is sure to be a "Dai Dai Dai" year.

In addition, January 6 is Yuji Horii's birthday. Mr. Horii smiled and said, "This will be a good birthday present for me.

Mr. Sanjo also commented, "I hope you will continue to love "Dai Dai" as a friend of Dracula. The audience responded with loud applause, and the stage was closed.
The 30th anniversary of the serialization of "DRAGON QUEST: Dai no Daiboken" has brought renewed excitement to the series, and we look forward to more news on the series in the future!
