TV Anime "World Trigger" Announces Production of New Season! Comments from Daisuke Asihara, Satoshi Muranaka, Yuki Kaji and other cast members!

A new season, a sequel to the TV anime "World Trigger," has been announced for production and will be broadcast on TV Asahi.

The anime "World Trigger" was produced by Toei Animation as a TV anime series, and the previous anime series ran for 73 episodes from October 5, 2014 to April 3, 2016. Based on Daisuke Asihara's popular science fiction action manga "World Trigger" serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" and "Jump Square" (Shueisha). World Trigger" has been gaining enthusiastic fans since its serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" and has become one of the most popular works even after its transfer to "JUMP SQUARE".

This time, a new season, a sequel to the TV anime "World Trigger," will be produced and broadcast on TV Asahi.

This work is a science fiction action series that depicts the battle between the invaders from another world, "Neighbors," and the border defense organization, "Border. Four years have passed since the "gate" to another world opened and the Neighbors began their invasion. The story begins when Koga Yuma, a boy from the Kinkai, and Shu Migumo, a member of the Border team, meet.

In the new season, as Migumo's team is preparing for the Class B rank competition in order to be promoted to Class A and selected for the expeditionary force, Garopura, the largest military nation in the Near Realm, appears and raids the headquarters. The curtain rises on an interception battle by the elite border troops secretly summoned by the government.
Can the Border defend its headquarters against the invasion of Garopura, which is led by a large number of Trion soldiers?　The TV anime "World Trigger" will continue to evolve along with the increasingly exciting story. Stay tuned for more news.
