TV anime "Dr. Stone", "JUMP FESTA 2020" event report arrives, featuring a splendid cast and artists!

The "Dr. Stone" event stage was held on December 21, (Sat.) and 22, 2019 at the Jump Super Stage of "Jump Festa 2020" at Makuhari Messe on December 22 (Sun.).

Dr. Stone" is a popular manga written by Riichiro Inagaki and drawn by Boichi, which won second place in the comics category of the "Next Comic Award 2018. Set in a world where the human race is about to become extinct due to petrification, this adventure work depicts Chisora, a science boy with a superhuman brain, who uses his knowledge to build a civilization from scratch.
The animation is directed by Shinya Iino,series composition and script by Yuichiro Kido,character design by Yuko Iwasa,music by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and Yuki Kanesaka, andanimation production by TMS Entertainment.
"Dr. STONE," a topical work about humanity and the restoration of civilization that was destroyed by petrification, will be adapted into a TV anime! The main character, Chisora, is played by Yusuke Kobayashi.

Dr. Stone" (original story by Riichiro Inagaki, illustrations by Boichi) is a popular manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and has won the "Next Comic Award 2018" (2nd place in the comics category) and the "Shogakukan Manga Award" (for boys).


On December 22 (Sun.), an event stage for "Dr. Stone" was held at the Jump Super Stage of "Jump Festa 2020" at Makuhari Messe. A total of six members of the splendid cast, including Yusuke Kobayashi as Chisora Ishigami, Shin Furukawa as Daiki Ohki, Yuichi Nakamura as Tsukasa Shishio, Aimi Numakura as Kohaku, Hajime Sato as Krom, and Kengo Kawanishi as Gen Asagiri, as well as BURNOUT SYNDROMES, the artist who wrote the opening theme of the first season, took the stage and was greeted with loud cheers.


The event opened with a "mini live performance of original drawings. Famous scenes from the original comic were projected on the screen one after another, and the cast members recreated the scenes with their true-to-life acting. The audience cheered loudly each time a character appeared on screen.

The first corner was "This is a hint! Here, the teaser PV for the second season of the anime was unveiled for the first time. The video of Chisora, Chrom, and Gen exchanging fists was colored and shown for the first time.


The second season of the TV anime, which will be broadcast in the near future, has three highlights. The first was that Chisora will finally meet Taiki and Yuzuri for the first time in a year. Furukawa mentioned the scene where Chisora and Taiki talk on the phone and said, "I really like the scene where Taiki, overcome with emotion, shouts out Chisora's name." I love the scene where Daiki, moved to tears, shouts Senku's name," he said.

The second point was that the second season will depict the "Stone Wars" battle between Chisora and the Tsukasa Empire. I'm looking forward to seeing how the battle will end. Nakamura expressed his enthusiasm, "I can't wait to see how the battle will end in the second season.
The third point was the many inventions that appear in the film. In the teaser visual released this time, Chisora is holding a flashlight ball in his hand, and he explains how to make it. It was also explained that the flash ball mechanism is used in the lamps of the Print Gocco, a small printing machine, and Mecha Chisora appeared with the Print Gocco. Mecha Chisora appeared with the Print Gocco and conducted an experiment to print New Year's cards using it.

The theme song artist BURNOUT SYNDROMES took the stage as a special guest. They performed the opening theme song for the first season, "Good Morning World! The audience clapped loudly to the powerful voice of the singer.


The audience also received thank-you messages from the original author, Mr. Inagaki, and Mr. Boichi. The cast members who also took the stage also gave messages of appreciation to the audience.

Mr. Kobayashi said, "I was anxious because I had never seen the character before, but I was able to make it through to this point thanks to everyone's power. I will do my best again in the second season with all my sincerity."

Mr. Furukawa: "In the first season of the anime, Taiki and the others appeared only halfway through, but they will appear again in the final episode, and I believe they will return to Chisora and the others in the second season. I will put my energy into it once again and do my best."

Mr. Nakamura: "When I read the comic, I worry about Tsukasa's situation. I am happy to be able to continue playing the role, but I also have mixed feelings. I hope you enjoy the comic as well."

Ms. Numakura: "I feel that we are a very comfortable and nice team. We are very happy that the second season of the anime has been decided. Please continue to support us.

Mr. Sato: "I am very happy to be involved in this work. I was very happy when I was chosen to play the role of Chrom. I am very happy to be able to run with the character as a comrade-in-arms."
