The "Sword Art Online 10th Anniversary Special Program" will be distributed live on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 12:00 noon.

Sword Art Online" (hereafter "SAO") is an anime work based on the novel by Reki Kawahara, winner of the 15th Dengeki Novel Award (Grand Prize), which depicts the activities of the main character Kirito in the mysterious next-generation online game "Sword Art Online". On February 18, 2017, "Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale," an anime movie based on a story written by Kawahara, was released. It was a huge hit, grossing over 4.3 billion yen at the box office worldwide. The latest "SwordArt Online Arisimation" began airing on Saturday, October 6, 2018, followed by "SwordArt Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online" in April 2018, and from October 2019, the latest chapter of the series, the third-cour "Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld" will start airing in October 2019.

It has been decided that "Sword Art Online 10th Anniversary Special Program" will be broadcast live on "Abema Anime Channel" of "AbemaTV", a "free internet TV station", from 12:00 noon on July 21, 2019 (Sunday). will be distributed live.

Ten members of the cast, including Sadashijo Matsuoka, Haruka Tomatsu, Ayaka Takagaki, Rina Hidaka, Kanae Ito, Ayana Taketatsu, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Ai Chino, Reina Kondo, and Natsuori Ishihara, will appear live to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the "SAO" series and introduce the "Sword Art Online: Arization War of Underworld" and various other events are planned for the 10-hour program.

Details of the program will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned for more information.

In addition, "Abema Anime Channel" will broadcast the entire "SAO" anime series for three weeks from 4:30 p.m. on July 15 (Monday, national holiday) to commemorate the distribution of the special program.
