The catharsis leading up to the annihilation and the sense of emptiness afterwards is a premium experience that cannot be had in everyday life - in that sense, one could say that "annihilation anime" is the most anime-like anime of all! ...... Is that not true? No, I'm sure it must be!

I'm not so sure, but in the end, you win if you enjoy Annihilation.

It is interesting that there are various kinds of "annihilation". From a large-scale annihilation in which the universe itself disappears, to a more familiar annihilation in which the protagonist and his/her neighbors drop out, there are many different patterns, which only reminds us of the depth of the Japanese anime culture.

In such a situation, the first place went to "Others! Moreover, it was an anomaly that the title of "Others" was unknown! What other anime titles other than the ones we have entered have been wiped out? ...... We would love to know, so please feel free to enter them in the comments of this article.

So, to get back on track, the second place title that practically topped the list was "Basilisk: Koga Ninpocho". As a means of selecting the successor to Tokugawa's third generation, an all-out battle was to be held between representatives of the two ninja groups, the Kouga Manjidani-shu and the Iga Tsubagakure-shu. However, Kouga Gennosuke, grandson of the leader of the Kouga clan, and Oboro, granddaughter of the head of the Iga clan, were in love. ...... The main feature of this work is the battle after battle between ninjas who use a ton of ninjutsu! The most important feature of this work is the battle after battle between ninjas who use a ton of ninja techniques!

The tragic ending is still talked about to this day as beautifully as the catchphrase, "My beloved, die," suggests.

It is unquestionably the best all-out anime of all time.

In third place is "School Days," the worst - or perhaps the strongest - all-out love story anime in history, which was broadcast on Abema TV on Christmas Eve. The drama of love and hate between the worst hero, Makoto, and the double heroine of the world and words, takes a surprising turn toward the end of the story. When Sekai gets angry at Makoto for abandoning him, she murders him, and when Kotoba finds his body, he impersonates Makoto and kills Sekai. The story ends with Makoto's head and his departure to the far side of the sea. The program itself was "wiped out.

Because of this, TV Kanagawa aired a travelogue program as a replacement. It is a good memory that a captured image of the program, in which a ferry goes on the sea, was posted on an image board on the Internet, resulting in the comment "Nice boat.

Fourth place went to "Fate/ZERO. It is an animation of annihilation on a large scale and is a big hit that no longer needs explanation. The main character Kiritsugu Emiya, who longed to be a "friend of justice," destroyed the Holy Grail, the ultimate vessel of desire, at the end of the story. As a result, he destroys a city. Most of the participants in the Holy Grail War died or were defeated and left the frontline, making the viewers thrilled and nervous each time wondering which character would be lost.

Fifth place goes to "Densetsu Kyojin Ideon," a milestone in the annihilation anime genre. After an unfortunate encounter, the people of Earth and the people of the Buff Clan fight endlessly over the "infinite power" that lies in the giant robot Ideon, left behind by the Sixth Civilization people. At the end of the battle, "Infinite Power," in despair over the life forms that never stop fighting, causes the entire universe to vanish, and not only all the characters, but the entire world itself, is annihilated in the last stage of annihilation on the largest scale ever seen in history.

The TV series ended halfway through, but the movie version, "Katsudohen," which depicts the true conclusion of the series, as if to avenge this grudge, depicts the intense human drama and powerful battle scenes that could not be depicted on TV, and its uncanny images have had an influence on many creators.

Neon Genesis Evangelion" (No. 6) was influenced by "Ideon" to a great extent, and this work also has a shocking ending in which all human beings are reborn as one life form through the Complementary Plan for Humanity.

A surprise is "Sailor Moon," which came in at No. 7. In fact, at the end of the first season, the Sailor Senshi die in battle one after another, and even Sailor Moon finally dies. However, the happy ending was achieved through an ultra C solution in which everyone was resurrected by having the world reset before history was finally rewound and they became Sailor Senshi.

Eighth-place finisher "ANOTHER" was another shocking work. It was a work that kept experimenting with ways to kill off the characters to surprise the audience.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans," which came in at No. 9, is the first (?) story in Gundam history in which the protagonist's side is completely defeated. It was a unique work that ended with the protagonist's side being completely defeated for the first time in Gundam history. At the time of its broadcast, the story was controversial, but looking back on it now, even though the protagonists were defeated, their actions changed the world, and what they did was not in vain. It was a work with a very deep dramatic nature, depicting how people should live and die.

And at No. 10 was "Yuna Yuki is a Brave Woman -Sumi Washio's Chapter-. This work, a prequel to "Yuna is a Brave Woman," depicts how Mimori Togo and Sonoko Nogi were active when they were active heroes, and how it all ended. Viewers know that they can be saved in "Yuki Yuna wa Yusha wa Yusha de Aruba," but even so, the final part of the film was a tough one to watch. After watching this film, we recommend that you watch "Yuna Yuki is the Brave" and "Yuna Yuki is the Brave -Chapter of the Brave-" as well.

The top 11 and below also include various types of annihilated anime, so if you are interested, please take a look at the results of the poll.

Some of you may be taking a long vacation during this year-end and New Year holidays. Why don't you sit under the kotatsu, eat mikan (mandarin oranges), and relax while enjoying annihilation anime? If you do, we hope you will take a look at the results of this year's poll.
